I am no real Gigabyte fan and no fan of irrational cooling-constructions either, but one little feature caught my eye:
According to the print between CPU-socket and DIMM slots it features (true) hardware raid .

And those green/'red' memoryslots work out fine. I have red heatspreader so I used the green slots to get an even red. If you have mem without heatspreaders use the red ones and memory area looks green.

meh. Looks like they didnt fire those engineers after all. That NB cooling SUCKS. Look how high the heatpipe arrays connect to the NB heatsink. A GA P45 UD3 would have superior NB cooling, even though its one quater of the size.

I really hope they revise that NB cooling, cause ATM it sucks.

Hmm speak for yourself. I wear alot of hot pink (its my fav color) and i have quit a bit of man in my pants. At least enough to make a baby and Apples new product iCame.

I have to agree with some things though. This board looks like Carebear cum at its finest. Without the color scheme id say the board itself looks to be teh p00nage though. Id prolly wind up trying to paint it or something

And i think DFI should make a board with hot pink flourescent slots :rockon:

also, why would you put a clear cmos button on the i/o panel? you could easily hit it and then have to reprogram the bios..
would've been better if it inside the case...

Its called convenience.. its easier to hit the button on the IO rather than taking off your side panel and digging around inside your case. I personally like it. =]

That's where mine is on the board in my specs. It's so much better than messing around with a frickin jumper, and was much easier when this was actually in a case, as I didn't have to fiddle around with anything at all when I hit a bad OC. Just press the button and done.

And although I don't use it personally, there's a switch to disable it.

It also helps that this board has the ability to save 2 profiles. So after a CMOS reset, you just load one of your profiles to a nice, proven OC.

I'm sure the GB will offer something similar.

I doubt seriously it's "true" hardware raid. It's probably just the bog standard ICH10R.

Shuttles have had a reset CMOS button of the back of selected models for years, it's an awesome feature IMO.

Why the big fuss about the DIMM slots' colour? Can you see them once the memory sticks are in place?

If I were to OC on a test bed, I'd rather do it with style. Im already lacking it... at least my board doesn't.
