at least Fermi runs on 72C° its not that bad , dont you remember the ATI radeon hd4870x2 , it was running on 105 C° and what the ATI said about it is "its normal for gpu to run at this temp" . non of the ati fans comment on this ... loooooooooool some ppl are really sick .

4870x2 is a dual GPU card ... how can you compare it with a single GPU card

 Anyway I've never seen 4870x2 cards go above 90C on reviews (with a decent casing) ... i know they are loud and the core nearer to the fan has really low temps ..... the other core reaches around 90C ... 105C is just over exaggerating facts ... :nutkick:
I'm no fanboy ... but you are certainly acting like one ... ... FERMI doesnt run @ 72C ... the average load temp in all the reviews i've read is about 95C ... lmao ...

Just check the temps of 4870x2 here--->

I made quite a few posts on the issue on XS. Also found out that some tools such as AMD GPU Clock Tool were causing the fan profiles to set the fan to minimum speed after a period of time if the tool was installed at all.

At stock my 4870X2 hits about 80c on the hottest core on a hot day before the fan kicks into high speed... usually near 60-70% of maximum speed after temps stabilize depending on room ambients with the hot GPU temps stabilizing near 65-75c depending on room ambients.
