i prefer thicker rads because in reality they can dissipate far more heat, then a thin rad and depending on the component take longer to saturate with heat. also im running 2x Delta 115cfm 3300rpm fans on a TT FRIO, noise isnt a problem lol enthusiast 1st practicality 2nd

still would rather see a 200mm rad since alot of cases are pushing larger fans or maybe an adaptor kit for the 180 rad to use 200mm fans eitherway dosent help me im not buying a full rig to get a all in one water kit that mildly interests me, also i want hard #s and comparisions when it you say beats a 240mm rad. example put it up agains the Antec Kuhler 920 or XSPC Rasa 240 kit. You'll have to pardon the fact i dont believe it unless i see it reviewed, and since its maingear exclusive i wont get to see a review of said 180mm all in one kit. kinda sad. i like numbers.

i want temps overclocked temps vs other coolers and water kits. etc if i cant see the actual cooling performance why should i be interested in your product, thats like someone trying to sell me a square saying its a wheel but wont let me try and roll it lol

With thermal resistance you can calculate that, just add in the resistance of your favorite TIM and you're good to go.

i7 920 stock vs 3.6ghz vs 4ghz speeds with temp testing thats more valuable then Thermal resistance ive seen many coolers with good thermal resistance fail to beat out cheaper and supposedly shittier coolers, so not impressed by Thermal Resistance numbers.

It's not unreasonable to prefer real world numbers to performance estimates. Hows the base shape? How much mounting pressure? Will there be a performance hit with adapters? As I can't think of many cases with 180mm fan support, one of the main reasons I'd rather have a thicker rad if it improves performance. At least it would fit, but who would even want the 120mm version after having that 20% increased performance for less noise bit dangled in front of them? Your target is enthusiasts after all. Hopefully you'll have significant price differences between them to make people feel better about having the weakest model.

from what I've seen Maingear tend to use alot of SilverStone cases FT01 and RV02 both of which come with 180mm fans hence why they wanted an 180mm rad because it just fits no adapter or frigging round

i bet that makes silverstone users happy. now i just need me a 140mm version to make my coolermaster case happy...

edit: As far as using this with a 200mm fan, I don't see how that would be too difficult with some minor modding. I bet you could do it with nothing more than a few zip-ties.
