Next week AMD will be announcing its refreshed Radeon RX 6x50 XT graphics cards, but courtesy of VideoCardz, the pricing is already available. The site managed to get hold of one of the slides from next weeks' launch, which details the three new cards, the Radeon RX 6650 XT, RX 6750 XT and RX 6950 XT. All three cards are fairly minor refreshes that will receive a small bump in boost speeds across the board and the RX 6650 XT and RX 6750 XT will also see a bump in memory clocks from 16 Gbps to 17.5 and 18 Gbps respectively. All three cards will also see a bump in TBP power, with the two lower-end cards getting a 20 W increase and the RX 6950 XT getting a 35 W bump.

However, the bigger issue here is AMD's new pricing, which isn't going to appeal to anyone. The RX 6650 XT is seeing a $20 bump over the RX 6600 XT to $399, whereas the RX 6750 XT is getting a $70 price bump, which places it mere $30 below the RX 6800 at $549. Finally the RX 6950 XT will retail at $1,099 or $100 more than the RX 6900 XT. Keep in mind that this is based on AMD's reference card pricing and partner cards are likely to be priced higher. All three cards should be available on the launch day, which is the 10th of May.

The 6650 is the "Yeah!" out of these, should make a decent miner as well... Eth is dying, though.

ALL GPU's were/are already way to expensive, now this crap....

I knew scapler's prices would never really go away, even if they've moderated somewhat recently. The greedy mfgr's are just so used to getting an ass load of cash for the cards, and they can't (they could but won't) just put them back close to where they were before the pandemics, both da 'vid & parts shortages etc

Shame on them ....:shadedshu:..

Supposedly the 6750 is a whole 7% faster... If it's worth $109 to you, then maybe wait until next week...

Well as long as they keep putting a MSRP so you know how much you’re getting gouged would be a nice to know. And if people stop buying in droves prices will drop when warehouses fill up.

If I had the money I wouldn't mind the bump as long as the prices really are close to the MR-something.
Of course, my perspective of a RX 580 owner is probably a little different than the others'.

What did you expect, though... off the bat the lady started with posing around boxes of Threadripper CPUs. They developed great products, but surely while being after your wallet. It was obvious that the good products for good prices *cough* compared to the competition would only go so far. AMD markets products, they'll fix prices and do what's required that'll make them sell the products.

I've been in dGPU "game" since 1990 and ATI/AMD always represented better value than the rest, that's why red team was always my preferred choice. Now Lisa decided value is dead and I'm fine with it. No better value than competition, no buy of the red product. It's as simple as that. Ngreedia still has way better drivers and support team. If AMD wants to charge the same they must offer more rasterization performance or at least better drivers than the green team or their dGPUs will rot on shelves outside the mining time bubbles.

Eh, talk about looking through the horse's eye. They had their good times and bad times, such as what happened after the purchase of ATI. Also their drivers are better nowadays and NVCP sucks donkey. What support team? Nvidia forums? :D Also it was not just Lisa who started this whole GPU pricing fandango.

Eh, if anything, these are basically priced to fit between the current normalized pricing ranges.

The real trickery is the 6750XT, which is priced to entice buyers that "just for an extra 30 or so", they can get a slightly more powerful 6800XT. The mid-level 6650XT is somewhat similar, targeting the "for just an extra 20 or so" crowd who was considering the 6600XT.

If the 6950XT is as good as pre-review leaks are claiming, it's no surprise it's priced higher than even the fancier 6900XTs using the higher performance XTXH binned variant, which in and of itself was a bit of a marketing issue given that there weren't many clear ways to differentiate a 6900XT using an XTX chip vs a 6900XT using an XTXH chip. I have to wonder if there will be an "XTXH" binned sub-model of the 6950XT, of if this is it; the ultimate RDNA 2 GPU until the next major series (or unless AMD decides to refresh RDNA2 for whatever reason; maybe as tier fillers or OEM-only).

Agreed the 5600xt was between 250-300 depending on aib model before the price hikes and scalpers etc can't see the 6600xt getting down that low anytime soon

Part of my job is taking care of workstation's upgrades in the research institute I work at. I tried to switch to AMD FirePro based systems twice, both times got burned badly to say the least. AMD's advertised professional graphics workstation support was a joke. Like talking to a child. Applications optimization for AMD nearly non existent. Better hardware on paper, but problems with software support resulting in crashes and where things did work we were getting suboptimal performance. I had similar problems at home with RDNA1 (5700XT) and Adobe suite. Crashes, blue screens etc. I can live with that on my gaming rig and do editing on the job, but still. You can't charge the same for inferior product. That's just the way it is. That's why Ngreedia is allowed to rule and ruin the dGPU market.

The products are not inferior for the end consumer, though. In fact, for the same price brackets... you get more raw power so that's actually superior in one way at least. You're talking about the professional market which is not this place. Look at goal post.

Will there be fixed 6500 XT? Releasing more high end SKUs is pointless, when market is already saturated with them.

Been saying this ever since I started posting on this site.

Just like in the past these cards are there to help stop the overall prices from dropping.

Totally unjustified prices… the new AMD is just like the old Intel and Nvidia

I've been in dGPU "game" since 1990 and ATI/AMD always represented better value than the rest, that's why red team was always my preferred choice. Now Lisa decided value is dead and I'm fine with it. This. Lisa is destroying AMD fundamentals. Now they are still selling because of the market situation, but things could change…
I’ve always disliked Nvidia marketing policy, but the new AMD is no different

Looking sharp. The reference falls a bit below custom versions, but still. Nice one...
