Lisa Su has become a cashgrabbing biatch.
Greedier than Jensen if that's even possible.

That is not true. Think about this

1. AMD did not start making profit until Zen2.
2. If you were a data center client that would not be your sentiment
3 AMD GPUs are up to 50% the cost of a Green equal card
4. The 5800X3D will sell like Hotcakes regardless of the price
5. Gaming Laptops are now cheaper thanks to AMD

AMD is actually giving us innovation that we can feel.

The 5600G blows any APU before it out of the water and over 2 GHZ on Vega should be celebrated.

Nothing I have said is untrue. You can just look at the cost of the 12900KS vs the 5950X or the 3090TI vs 6900XT.

Just because you can't buy AMD CPUs for $100 like the 1090T (When AMD was at $3 a share)

Indeed Dr Lisa Su should be celebrated for driving the Computer Industry forward. Whether you want to believe Covid is real or not without the Computer that AMD has forced the industry to become the vaccine would probably still be in development. Please expand your readership and see how different AMD is from Intel and Nvidia.

Talking like another computer couldn't have done it and the vaccine is actually related to the topic, or actually fully functional thereof...

How many 16, 32 and 64 core CPUs did Intel donate to the cause?

Been saying this ever since I started posting on this site.

Just like in the past these cards are there to help stop the overall prices from dropping.
Absolutely true!
AMD just takes the commission that the scalpers would get.
Every street price is good or bad compared with what street price the competition has.
If MSI/ASUS/GB is selling the cheap 6650XT models at $399, there is no incentive to sell 3060Ti at $399, it is a much better value, they will always inflate the Nvidia price since the demand is there (and if not them, then their distributors and if not their distributors, then the retailers/etailers)
In Europe 2022 up until now entry 6600XT models was selling at 3060 price level or a little bit more and 6600 -60-70€ vs 3060, while 3060Ti was selling +150€ vs 6600XT/3060 and 6700XT only +20€ vs 3060Ti that's the tried and true street price level for each card in order to sell, the demand and the perception in Europe for these Nvidia cards is just too great in relation with what AMD offers.
Even today the prices for the entry models are at similar levels:
6700XT 599€
3060Ti 579€
6600XT 425€
3060 419€
6600 349€
Anyway, 6950XT is just fine, +10% for the market segment and according to competition it doesn't seem unjustified, while 6750XT falls in line with the crazy 6650XT pricing strategy imo.

Does it matter, though? You're talking like there are no reports saying vaccine doesn't do shit against some 8 new variants day after day.

Also, this is NOT related to GPU pricing.

What I am talking about is the initial research that led to discovery of the Vaccine proposition. AMD donated $100000s of TRX40 and higher components to work together in unison. My initial post covered my opinions on GPU pricing I was just disputing your claim that AMD's contribution doesn't matter.

Like the initial vaccine was fully functional to begin with. Not to mention some of the side effects. This is a weak point to go up the hand of AMD, the rest of your points were AMD biased as well.

I don't agree with that. There's so many SKUs from Nvidia and most of those has the exact same thing.

Benchmark Scores I once clocked a Celeron-300A to 564MHz on an Abit BE6 and it scored over 9000.
Right now, by which I mean the 6th of May, a 6750XT for $549 looks like a good deal.

The thing is, these prices are irrelevant because MSRP is meaningless and these cards won't be on shelves for weeks, In a few weeks the GPU market could shift up or down by 20% easily.

The local microcenter had 20 open box cards yesterday.
3060ti $350
6700xt $485
Not open-box cards btw (lowest price in each case):

Yea, +500$ for +8 frames (if we consider, that 3090 gives out 100 frames; +8%, if it is not) is waaaaay better
no

You fail to realize the 00 cards will lower in price. This is no worse than nv releasing super cards in the past.

Totally unjustified prices… the new AMD is just like the old Intel and Nvidia

This. Lisa is destroying AMD fundamentals. Now they are still selling because of the market situation, but things could change…
I’ve always disliked Nvidia marketing policy, but the new AMD is no different

Remember they are a Corporation, Lisa SU was brought in to lead it back to Profitability. AMD is not going to take it on the chin to drastically drop the prices knowing they are not as well known as ngreedia or untel. Intels pricing of ARC will be right with AMD and nvidia.

Lets not forget the SEC fine against nvidia now

is it? I mean its a tad cheaper then a rx6800 like it should be and price performance compared to Nvidia atm seems fine?

I would like to you know what rational lead to your comment.

Although I have been of the opinion in general that gpu's are massively overpriced, I would say the absolute top end should cost no more then 800 absolute max.
But considering what we have seen from the general population, I seem to sadly be a minority.

Those decrying AMD and making very stupid arguments about the new lineup being overpriced, are basically trolling. Higher pricing is natural progression for reboots, everyone else markets the same way, why is AMD the bad guy here?

Here is an analogy.

You buy a brand new car last year and paid according to MSRP. You have it long enough for next years model to come out. You go looking a the new pricing:

1) Do you understand why the MSRP is $250 higher knowing its faster and has added features than the previous year?
OR
2) Do you bitch and moan that its not the same price as last years model?

Nvidia has actually become more affordable than AMD never thought I would ever say that. Will definitely checkout Nvidia mid range GPU for upgrade come September or October. At least they don't gimp the Pci-e lanes.

I've been in dGPU "game" since 1990 and ATI/AMD always represented better value than the rest, that's why red team was always my preferred choice. Now Lisa decided value is dead and I'm fine with it. No better value than competition, no buy of the red product. It's as simple as that. Ngreedia still has way better drivers and support team. If AMD wants to charge the same they must offer more rasterization performance or at least better drivers than the green team or their dGPUs will rot on shelves outside the mining time bubbles.
While i understand where you're coming from (i too buy ATI/AMD VGAs since my first Radeon 7500 card) and really don't like where AMD is going/becoming, but currently i could buy an RTX3050 or an RX6600 for 350€, it's no brainer i would buy the RX6600 because simply it's a better card for my needs, but both of them are stil overpriced for what they are though.

Also it was not just Lisa who started this whole GPU pricing fandango.
True, but they sure followed ngreedia's pricing, AMD didn't say either we don't have to overprice our cards like the green team. They are selling 64bit cards for 160-200$ and 128bit cards from 330$ to 400$ with this brand "new" 6650XT FFS.

As i see it these overpriced refreshed models paves the path for a much more expensive RDNA3 cards, just like they did with 3600XT so they could sell the 5600X even higher because it was faster than the 3600XT.

Most people seem to miss the big picture; the way GPU market has been moving leads to complete market segmentation. We're not getting ANY decent sub 300$ GPU releases anymore, yet high end is blooming like never before. I mean charging 500$ for mid low end segment and well north of a grand, even two, for high end stuff, all while 4K capable console systems are selling for 400-500$, is "audiophile" price territory already.

As things are progressing now we might soon see entire dGPU market move exclusively to near and to "audiophile" price territory, while majority of PC gamers will have to accept APUs, clouds and consoles as their PC gaming future, effectively killing DIY PC building as a hobby for the masses and that's a real shame.

You effectively regulate the pricing. If you stop buying, the prices will normalise.

But you not only buy, but also apply unfair practices like reselling at inflated, scalper prices.
You will kill the market.

That works when there is a lot of competition on supply side of the market. But current dGPU market is made of a market leader (Ngreedia) and a market follower (AMD). A type of scenario, where a market follower seeks to optimize profit margins but is less interested in differentiating its brand and value proposition from the market leader to gain market share. Instead, the market follower effectively rides on the market leader's coattails while positioning its brand just far enough away from the market leader to be seemingly different while being OK with status quo on the market. They both profit from this position: a market leader not having a worry of being accused of being a monopolist and a market follower ripping short term benefits of market leader's rising profit margins due to dictating price increases on the market.

They both profit from this position: a market leader not having a worry of being accused of being a monopolist and a market follower ripping short term benefits of market leader's rising profit margins due to dictating price increases on the market.

What we can do is to organise a world-wide strike - don't buy any graphics cards.
The bad thing is that we can't organise it because there will always be many betrayers.

The goal will be to see nvidia's and AMD's reaction after their sales drop to 0-5% of the previous (2019) levels.

It is, rx 6800 has 3840 cores and 67x0 xt has 2560 cores,

which means paying an extra 10% over 67x0 price point gives you 33% more cores.

And 6800 xt has 4608 cores, thats 45% more cores than 67x0 xt at 2560 cores,

which means paying an extra 20% over 67x0 xt gives you 45% more cores.

Basically you are getting scammed when buying below 6800 or a 3070.

67x0 xt should be priced around 350$ msrp, actually less considering it has been released almost 2 years ago

Cores/price ratio used to be pretty relatively linear, especially on amd. The pricing for 6600 xt is a joke too, essentially a 250$ gpu having a msrp of 400$.

AMD basically copied Nvidia´s mid-range strategy, which is ovepricing 60 series around 30%.
