I'm talking about 24/7 at max clocks. Often in poorly ventilated and/or dusty areas. Back then I didn't have the budget for pro-grade stuff, so I used gaming components, which to a great extent did a fairly good job.

All brands that earn a good reputation for a product, inevitably find a way to make that product cheaper to make and sell more and more and more of them riding off the reputation of the original.

Corsairs early PSUs, fans and AIO's lasted a LONG time... and then the cheaper variants came out and did not last anywhere near as long.

Air is always more logical than water in with a bunch of expensive equipment...that's how.

distilled water is non conductive. Heatpipes can contain the same fluids, as do vapour chambers - it's inevitably part of systems now, foreeeeveeeeer.

Uhm, how to put it lightly? De-ionized water is non-conductive. Distilled very often is. I thought a mussels should know this?

I use de-ionized, cannot get hold of distilled where i am now.

You can relatively easily distill it yourself, depending on the quantities that you need. There is a ban on moonshining, not on boiling water.

i could. Just using de-ionized/ pre mix car coolant about 60/40 respectively. I guess the car premix coolant will affect the non conductive properties, but i add it to stop algae.

There are other good biocides but it all depends on what exactly are you trying to achieve.

iirc antifreeze is pretty good. Makes my water a nice green colour too. The care premix is 50/50 antifreeze/de-ionized
