Exactly my point

?
At 2 and 4K the CPU makes little to no difference. I guess they used the intel setup because they consider it 1% faster.

What I meant to say is 7900 XT is just about 135% of 6800 XT. 6800 XT is more than 200% of Vega 64. I have no questions for people who upgraded from Vega to 6800 XT. Having 2 to 4 times more FPS is huge.

However, those who upgraded from 6800 XT to 7900 XT seem to be in a major hurry because +35% isn't much. 4090 and more powerful GPUs seem to be a more reasonable upgrade.

Don't think I'm saying 6800 XT is superior to 7900 XT. It's of course not. Spending 700+ USD on an upgrade for only getting <50% uplift AND ALSO NOT GETTING THE BEST GPU IN THE WORLD is cost inefficient.
I can't agree with your logic. A 35% upgrade at 4K is very noticeable. You might as well be a share holder if you think that a 4090 vs a 4080, 7900XTX or 7900XT is good value. Oh it has better Path tracing. How many Games have announced that they intend to have Path tracing as a major feature of their product. Nvidia has the world in reverse logic. Things like DLSS should be the focus of the low end of the market. That is why when the 8700G launches in a few days, using AFMF should mean an APU that can play ANY game at 1080P. Of course Nvidia will pump DLSS with the 3050 as they will not be able to respond. If you have your finger on the pulse you already know the 8700G is going to sell like Hotcakes. That is more important in this space than continuing to support the notion that a 4090 is somehow cost effective if all you do is Game. In fact using an 8700G you could get the entire PC (Case, PSU, MB, KB,STORAGE,CPU COOLER, RAM, MORE STORAGE, ARGB FANs, XboX Controller and Monitor) before the cost of a 4090. So again how do you YELL that a 4090 is value?

It's the same level noticeable at any other resolution. Not the point.

I tried hard but couldn't comprehend this. English please.

Irrelevant.
using AFMF should mean an APU that can play ANY game at 1080P.
At 20 FPS perhaps. Just a reminder: this APU has worse gaming performance than the RX 6500 XT. MUCH worse. And RX 6500 XT is already a GPU that can't play games at 1080p no matter how much AFMF you throw at it.
So again how do you YELL that a 4090 is value?
I don't yell. I just acknowledged the fact the 4090 doubles the 6800 XT's speed in raster and I won't even bother calculating how far ahead it is in RT. This is what I call a sensible upgrade. When it's impossible not to tell the difference. $1800 is too much, I agree. But I don't tell to buy it right now.

Anyway, we're way too off-topic. Want further discussion, PM me. I don't have much else to say anyway.

Yes "I read reviews" I understand that notion from 2020, X3D chips are very unique in the space and a 7900X3D is 1.2 Ghz faster than a 5800X3D. So when I had a 5800X3D and upgraded to a 7900X3D the GPU uses 3-5 GB/s more VRAM while Gaming. Is that 1%? There is also the fact that my system is all AMD so rebar is there as well. I really don't care if you try to belie what I have experienced. You don't know how fast your PC is until you use another and my current rig is the Cat's Meow for me. TPU has never reviewed the 7900X3D but reviews of 7000 chips agree that heat can effect performance and AMD turns their CPUs up to 11. So if the 7950X3D goes to 95C and my 7900X3D does not go above 85 C nor 100 Watts. If both CCDs have a 5.7 GHz clock which one will maintain a higher clock longer? That is what makes the 7800X3D faster than a 7950X3D but the truth is if AMD had sampled the 7900X3D it would have made the 7950X3D and indeed the 7800X3D moot as in my opinion it outperforms both of them because it runs cooler. I don't even have the fastest nor tightest RAM either. There is no Game that does not run butter smooth at 4K. Even TWWH3 in battles (Not the stupid benchmark) that are the real drivers of the GPU/CPU relationship tell me good job. When the Magic, arrows, thousands of units, Cavalry charges and melee encounters are happening the GPU lets you know how fast it is quickly. My 7900XT laughs at TWWH3 at 4K and gives me over 120 FPS at 4K in battles using the 7900X3D so you can go on. I know someone(s) are going to go on about 6 cores but ask owners of 5900X CPUs if they think there CPU is slow.

GRE is not worth it 7800XT is like 518€, GRE is like 579-600€ its barely any faster so save the money you wont feel 8% difference in gaming. :)

I am only going to respond to one of your points and bring the 7900GRE back in. If you can't comprehend that if cost effective is the goal that a GPU that is 20% faster than a 7900XTX should be $1100 more or how a $1700 4080 is worse value much less a 7900Xt for $1000. You see I live in Canada and PC parts have a premium. Of course you have to add tax to those prices. That makes a 4090 a cool $3000 if you don't get free shipping. If you can buy a 7900GRe they are about $800 and if they can perform and are readily available they will be popular. Let's talk about 6000, which GPU was the most cost effective for 6000? The 6600M, you could get them for $149 but you could not buty them at Canada Computers. Neither can you buy a 7900 GRE from them.

BTW I also have a 6500XT and know that there are plenty of Games you can play at 1080P.

RT is exactly what percentage of Games released in 2023? Do you think RT matters when I see what Games my Humble Choice is giving me this month? Do I think of RT when I watch trailers of Space Marine 2 or Homeworld 3?

I am so tired of Matchbox vs Hot Wheels. Some of you may not get that analogy so I will explain. There were 2 major die cast Cars you could buy in Canada when I was a kid. Matchbox had die cast cars and were English based. Hot Wheels was American and kids waxed on for days on which one was better, even though each was very capable of being crushed by cars. We did not have social media then but the Nvidia AMD argument is as old as that. So we come back to the narrative vs the truth. I have been drinking today so you get an op ed.

In pure raster the 4090 is only faster than the 7900XTX in some scenarios. It is much more nuanced than you imply. The 7900 GRE is a 7900 series GPU and as such enjoys the same benefits. Indeed the 7900 GRE if it was part of the official stack would be the go to card for the high end AMD user. There are some people that will never buy Nvidia once they learn that though the narrative seems like Nvidia could be a desultory entity on the space experience of such confirms what I am saying.

1. I had a GTS 450, Nvidia pumped SLI so I bought another one. I discovered TW Medieval 2 and those cards were not enough. I sold them to my friend about 2 months later he tells me SLI is not working. I do some research and learn that Nvidia disabled SLI support for the GTS 450.

2. For my 50th I (like all of us) I was in COVID. Instead of a trip to Tahiti or Costa Rica, I bought a Gaming laptop. It is the Strix 17 with a 5800/3060 combo. I got the laptop opened Nvidia's software package and it looked exactly the same as when I had my GTS 450. I wish I was making that up. AMD software in comparison is actually so good that in my opinion it is one of the reasons to get AMD over Nvidia. That is no different than Intel's 10 years and resurfaced ++++ at the same core count philosophy.

I don't like to be a sheep so I look at raw performance. 17 million transistors is not a joke. and neither is 57,700 million on the GPU.

GRE is not worth it 7800XT is like 518€, GRE is like 579-600€ its barely any faster so save the money you wont feel 8% difference in gaming. :)
That is why it is not part of the official stack (right now) neither was the 6600M. Made the 6600 pointless for $100 less

It is here in europe i can buy simply one and avatar is bundled with it too just like with the rest of the cards. but its value is not bad but the 7800xt has the best value by far.

GRE needs to drop to 550€ then its okay, i would say. the issue is the GRE can run into a bandwidth limit which then it also looses its lead over the 7800xt as its a heavily crippled 7900 chip. vram is slow as heck since amd only uses gddr 6 and they limited the speed a lot on the GRE,+ its the most powerlimited card on the market right now. Amd should unlock it more so it sits beetween the 7800xt and the 7900xt so 15%+ on the 7800XT then its price would be nice right now.

and the 7800xt is very very popular on the diy market here.

as you can see here, they also released their whole 2023 year numbers. just for measure mindfactory is by far the largest shop here in europe also strong amd partner. :) they sold 189'610 cards in 2023. but it also ships only in germany.

You are going to get people triggered. This does not fit the 87% narrative.

I am not disagreeing with any thing you are saying. I just know that there are some users on TPU that will quote the narrative like it applies all over the World. I have argued without success (even though it is on the web site) that the best selling card on Newegg.ca for the last at least 6 months has been the AS Rock Challenger 6700XT for $439 Canadian.

There was a reason AMD did their latest GPU launch in Germany. America is the land of corporate Propaganda so you get plenty of sheep. Some of my posts get deleted when I ask questions like "How many Games planned DLSS support in 2023 vs all the Games that have been released. I love the ones that try to say that raster does not matter vs DLSS.

even more models appear

the pulse is neat since it uses the 3 fan design from the 7900 cards not the 7800xt pulse version.

hellhound too. :)
