Well, the UPS gorillas (Literally UPS here) strike again.
I've never had this to happen before.
Good thing is I can still use the one you see broken at least.

So send it back. Damage done in shipping is not your responsibility.
I would but the egg would argue the shipper is at fault turning it into a huge runaround.
In that case they would be correct since UPS is known for this kind of thing and the box it came in was badly crushed on one side meaning the shipper, not the egg was indeed at fault here.

As said I can still use the broken tube no prob so it's not worth the effort, plus if they did take it back they'd want the entire order back anyway and I'll really need the stuff shortly.

Most sellers will send a replacement with items this low in pricing no questions asked. Doesn't hurt to reach out Bones. Should be no big deal.

It's OK - I can still use it but if the tube(s) had been busted with TIM coming out, believe it when I say I'd already been raising hell with them over it - Pics of the damage as it was received and all.

Besides, I really need the stuff about now so as long as I can use it I'm fine.

Do it anyway. Shipping damage is not your responsibility. That is on the seller for not providing properly protective packaging, the shipper for careless handling and the seller for employing the shipper. None of this is on you. You are well within your rights to return it.

I fixed it by swapping out the plunger from an empty 20g tube of MX4 - It's as it's supposed to be now.
Literally took about 30 seconds to get it right.

The problem with this is you probably introduced some air to the mix. That could affect that particular tubes shelf life so i'd get a permanent marker and label it as such.

He should be OK. It's team comp so there will be a lot of hw swapping Going on. I need to pick up some more.

Been using TM50, and it is noticeably better than TM30, but far from a great paste. But it seems to hold up OK under dry ice which I found a nice surprise.

ShrimpBrime ain't gentle at all about heavily voiding hardware warranties.
Hope MSI doesn't read this. I sent my Z790 gaming wifi in. Died in the middle of CBR20 run.

CPU is fine though!!! Not sure about the rumor mill on Intel having bad chips. Mine seem to work just fine even after thorough punishments!!

XTU 2.0
4th fastest 20 core cpu in the world. And I've only run the benchmark on this cpu as a first.

This on water.

Try to pour all the paste into the CPU at once otherwise it may dry out soon

Shrimpy is correct - I'll be lucky if there is any left of the tube when the comp ends.
I also have plans to do other stuff aside from stuff for the comp so it's going to get used long before any dryout occurs.

Fixed it you're good lol, but far as Intel I've heard conflicting things about what's even impacted. Some seem to indicated it's just 13900K/14900K while others seems to indicate it might be the entire raptor lake/refresh series could be impacted. Like it doesn't sound like it is necessarily strictly just a TVB issue with the highest end model. Who knows though honestly. I'm presuming you use a anti-intel-failing bracket? I think that could be creating issues where it's hard to pin point the actual root problem definitively as easily. I do believe L1 Tech is on to something with trying to narrow down possible evidence pointing to a particular fault or problem. It seemed like the IMC was suspect in part of what he found looking at like crash reports. I'm pretty sure your CPU is undead. It's alive, but is it really living.

What's the SP on that chip btw!?
