I don't know how many of you were enthusisats back when the HD4000 series cards released?
But in my opinion, what AMD needs to do is to release the RX9070XT and RX9070 the same way they did the HD4890/70/50.
Provide 90% to 95% of the performance in comparison to NVidia's RTX5080, but then under cut the price by a healthy amount.
If they do this they will gain back market share again. If that happens and then history repeats itself, they'd be set up to knock it out of the park with their next generation cards. (Much like they did with the HD5870/50 cards.)
I hope this is what happens, only because healthy competition is best for all of us. But sadly, this is AMD we're talking about here, and I feel like stupid decisions are coming our way!
In a perfect world... what would happen is... AMD lied about having flagship level cards, would launch the RX9070XT at a low price, and then shock the world with releasing a RX9080XT at a decent price also.
Much like they did with the HD4890. Sigh.... Dreams are fun are they?
