Holy crap thats a pretty big box of issues for that G7...

I'm using a G34QWC (Samsung VA, too) and there are similar reports about 'noise' coming from the monitor here and there, but mine doesn't have it, luckily, its dead silent. But the other issues... I don't recognize any of it on this one. And this is bog standard mid range ultrawide. Every company and his dog has one or more versions of it.

OP are you not taking too much for granted here? The implementation matters a LOT... and Samsung isn't always a star in that regard. They're a great OEM... not so great on their own product.
EDIT: scratch that, I see you're talking about the general issues as well not your own :D Coffee!

I have a curved 32" 1440p 144 Hz screen. I wouldn't trade it for a flat panel.

My Dell S3220DGF has a flatter 1800R curve. It's one of those things that you don't notice after you've been using the monitor for a while.

Just as a quick update, I returned it last week. It was truly glorious for gaming even at just 60hz, but since that's a high price to pay for good 60Hz gaming at this point, and particularly because gaming is only a small portion for which I use my computer, I couldn't ignore all the other faults. At least it was a full refund including shipping paid.

So I'm back to using my venerable decade+ old 1200p VA panel, which looks far better than the G7 for 2D work (when it's not occasionally flaking out..)

One helpful thing I encountered with the G7 was 1080p video looks slightly blurry on 1440p (at least on that monitor, presumably due to interpolation). So I'll likely go 4K for the next monitor I try at some point.
