It's one of the only T chips that are widely available on Aliexpress, the bad thing is the taxes...
Indeed. But even without taxes, it's expensive for old tech which I'd use on nothing major. With taxes, it's outright absurd, it'd be worth half of what I paid for the laptop 6 years ago.

@Onyx Turbine 12600K (along with its power-tamed relaunch, the 13400) and 12700K are possibly the best bang-for-buck-for-watt-for-ease-of-mind Intel has. Alder still performs admirably well.

Dat feeling when you live in the country where you can get stuff directly from Ali without paying any import tax (or it’s marginal and already factored into the price). That’s how I got those T models I mentioned earlier - cheap tray samples from Ali.

nice to know, need to get used to the 12700k, if intel not created these 13-14 issues i would have gone into a higher gen 13, 14 or waited for 15th gen.
having a 14700k and have a strong overall power consumption in applications, gaming what not did feel wrong

Benchmark Scores They're pretty good, nothing crazy.
I mean 13600Ks are so nice, with the static voltage you can crank them to 5.8Ghz, price is nice as well, basically giving them away.

If you take off turbo and have the mitigations in place it basically an awesome all rounder chip for $240.

I wouldn't, personally..... But go ahead if you want.

If you're craving an upgrade, you know RL is getting some nice deals, you don't have to change mobos and you can always put some protections in place above what intel has already done. Or don't, and use their 5 year warranty that includes cross shipping. Mine is working pretty nicely right now. Idle power consumption is like 7w.

But at the same time 12700k is still a fine cpu.... could always keep waiting, unless you got upgrade bug right now and need something just cause ( And I've been there, no judgment).
