Some kind of nostalgia wave just hit me, memories of old coming back... I had this DFI motherboard back then. Athlon 64 3800+ 2.4 GHz. Geil 2X256 MB DDR 400 MHz. Point of View GeForce 6600GT 128 MB DDR3.
Two of my best friends way from School days used to come at my place (we played Quakeworld in School as early as 1999 during our 9-th grade informatics class ignoring the teacher and his MS FrontPage instructions). The 6 games we used to play most at my place were: Quake 2, Quake 3, Painkiller Black Edition, StarCraft Brood War, WarCraft 3 Frozen Throne and Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge. Friends and almost all of the other guys used to play Counter Strike over the internet like crazy, while i preferred Aliens vs. Predator 2, but i probably was the only one like that. The internet was dial-up garbage back in 2005, that's why we preferred LAN over online. This lasted till about 2010, when we all got good internet. The irony was that since 2010 not only did our LAN parties end, but i kinda stopped playing online and started focusing more heavy on single player, which i do till this day.
