This was the one I think. Bought the ACE exactly two months ago, and just today MSI shipped the promo coolermaster watercooling.

Judging by the price/perf dif. I’d much rather go with the Unify.

Not really something about this board in particular; but does the Fan on X570 boards make that much of a difference? Like Wouldn't a well designed heatsink be much more cheaper and robust in the long run?

I think a plastic fan is a LOT cheaper then the (sadly) old-school full on copper arrays we used to have.

And sure a fan is a moving part so it can break/die but by that time you probably will have bought a new motherboard already or just replace that with a proper aftermarket heatsink.

ACE without infinity diode decoration. Unfortunately, there are only 4 SATA ports here, which will overwhelm many, as we like to move disks from previous systems to the new build. If you plug in 2 magnetic disks and 2 SSDs, you are forced into the upgrade card for anything else. it really can be enough for a whole new system. The rest is very good and is also ATX format, very suitable for small casses. A score hydrogen-cooled single core does not mean anything to me! It is enough power to destroy the processor three times +! Qne of the best deals in x570 chipset or best buy .

5 years ago even mid mainboards had superb heatpipe solutions,
Now only the $600+ range - maybe

Really sad,
I hoping some brands will produce silent performance mainboards with decent heatpipe solution in the ~$150+ range
Currently we have only GIGABYTE X570 AORUS XTREME for X570 from ~$700

5 years ago even mid mainboards had superb heatpipe solutions,

Heatpipes on motherboards have been extinct for a long time now. They disappeared with the release of x79/990fx chipsets a decade ago. Heatpipes were utilized because heat put out by prior chipsets could not be managed by a fan alone. That said if future chipset releases get progressively warmer we may very well return to the days of having monuments and roller coasters on our MBs.

Haven't experienced that with any of my X570's.
While technically you are right about calling it zero noise, I don't hear it when they are running meaning you shoudn't notice it above anything else including case fans, CPU fans and such.

To the point, I'd still rather have it than not and glad the one I got has it and look at it in the same way as a CPU or AIO/rad fan - They all wear out sooner or later anyway and replacing it is no big deal if I ever have to.

I have zero problems with the chipset fan. It rarely comes on and is not a noisy issue. This criticism is m,ade by those who wear tin foil hats. It is a bogus issue.
