ARGB is a proprietary nightmare that hits the unholy trifecta of no standard physical interfaces, no standard software interfaces, and no standard electrical interfaces. Anyone using ARGB and expecting it to be anything other than a compromise of bad software, shit cables, and potential incompatiblities needs to suffer more ARGB until they learn their lesson

You and me both, buddy. ARGB has been around long enough that's it's almost inexcusable how bad the situation still is. The PC DIY/boutique market is where standardisation isn't just nice to have, it's one of the primary reasons for why the PC DIY market
still exists. If everything was proprietary the market segment would simply cease to exist, almost overnight...
