Use these settings for that flash chip. When you go to read the chip be sure and press "Detect" first, you will get random code that appears bellow "Size". now you can read or flash the chip with whatever bios you want. the programming software is working as intended based on the file you uploaded. you just had the wrong type of chip selected so it just kept repeating after every 1MByte until it was at 16MBytes.

Did the --protectoff , still get the mismatch error. Have returned the card and picked up a 3070 Founders. I need the founders because my case is limited to two slots, and it also looks much better than the others...

How did you manage to do that? i meen isnt there should be warranty period for like up to a month so they can confirm its the manufacturers or consumers fault and you did strip the card in total ? which store did you bought the card? Nice job though looks nice and colorful.

You can try flashing this BIOS on the 3070 FE as it has the same IDs for 20 extra watts
