id like to make the first post very informative so if you guys could help me by refreshing my tired brain as to what are the known good drivers and OC tools for these so that i can add them to my first post and also any stores that are known to retail these babies so that we can help any others that are using/looking these cards

3d06 i clocked my cpu to 3700mhz and 3dmark06 and crysis crashes after 5min
now up to 3630mhz if i put my ram timmings higher i sould get more stability?

my board is picky with CAS 2/2.5 but with CAS 3 runs much more stable and is easier to clock, id try 3/3/3/8 or 3/4/4/8 you might even have luck with 3/3/2/8

i remember the days when i had my VX and was doing 240mhz-250mhz 2/2/2/5 what a pain in the arse to get it running and stable.

the springdale chipset is picky that way i guess

what version of AtiTool was it that you tried previously that gave you problems?

which version of rivatuner are you using?

i'm not using rivatuner cus doest wont let me change dynamic fan settings
atitool 0.26 freezes up

Anyone experiencing any major issues, as in stability, driver conflicts and the a-like. I plan on purchasing the Powercolour in a few weeks, IF I don't win the PCIe motherboard I'm bidding on, on eBay. Otherwise, I'll be buying an PCIe 3850.

As for experiencing issues, I've had no problems whatsoever with this card, in fact based on my benchmarks, I'm pretty sure this card has about the same performance as the PCIe version, the main disadvantage being the lack of Crossfire support.

Otherwise, IMHO this card performs like a champ, overclocks like hell, and cuts through current games as a hot knife through butter

Drivers: Ati hotfix Catalyst 8.3 + CCC suite.
OCing: Rivatuner 2.08 (only app. I've found so far to support low level driver OCing for this card)
Atitool: 0.27 Beta 3

Yes, I was just editing my previous post to include that info

So far, the only problem I had was trying to install the original cat 8.3 WHQL driver release, it simply didn't recognize my card, but a couple of days later, Ati released a hotfix driver for AGP users, no WHQL, but so far, stability is not an issue on any game.

Tested on Crysis, Oblivion, The Witcher, World in Conflict, Bioshock, Sims 2, Quake Wars ET, Gears of War, UT3, Lost Planet, 3dMark 03, 05, 06, and all non DX10 Ati demos (sorry but no Vista here ), the card is rock solid, even at high OC settings, no artifacts, no crashes (besides Oblivion CTD on exit, but I've had that crash for as long as I remember ), and amazing framerates on all games on highest settings, @ 1280x1024, 8xAF, 0xFSAA.

my rig is down ATM and i will be trying it soon as get back up and running

RM has stated that voltage control circuitry appears the same and the mod looks VERY do-able, and IS revesible

yes pencil mod allows for higher voltage, which in turn increases clock speeds

it is not a hard mod it can be reversed and is undetectable, just follow RandomMurders guide to a T and youre GOLDEN!
