I ended up with some 2.5" drivers laying around, soo:

I wanted a bigger Yule Tree [link] but the print failed half way.

Anyway, I cut the file in Creality print and printed the top half later, and glued it together.

I also printed this PIP Yule tree with feet [link].

And lastly a Futurama Brain Slug [link]. I still need to print its eye.

Edit: And done! Perfect model. The best.

@SN2716057 I like your Citroën in one of the pics.

Not the best model, but the only model I found that was somewhat good.
Edit: I see it needs another layer of paint, Acrylic paint ain't the best even if you add a primer. Maybe Revell paint will be better.
I also printed a bigger model in blue, the tiny (original size) one is in grey. But it had the same issues as the smaller one; the rear wheel covers don't have enough material..now if I had a 3d print pen I could correct it.

90% done with the bigger Citroën DS (200%), just need to paint some more bits and apply another layer on some areas.

PET-CF prints amazingly well. I'm working on making a blank button reproduction for a Mazda Speed as well as a version that can take a 2 port USB for a in-car computer.

The USB port fitment is spot on. I cleaned that up a bit more after removing the ears with the threaded holes. I also redesigned the clips to mirror the original and printed it on its side since the clips won't hold up to repeat stress because of the force being perpendicular to the layer lines (3rd image). Once I've confirmed fitment, I'll secure everything with JB Weld plastic bonder. The 4th pic is the original piece.

I need a bigger wash-/Cure Size if i want to use the whole printer...

There are only a few bigger machines on the german market. That one i did want to buy is made by phrozen. But my dealership did stop the rebate a few days before i wanted to buy. IAnd i didn't see a reson why i should spend 170 more Euros to get them.I wait for the next rebate period. Till then that two machines are fine. At all. They are cheaper than the difference between the repated and the new price.

@gurusmi , really clean pic. Nice stuff :))) Is this where you print?

Yepp. It's straight next to my working desk. I need to turn around 90 degrees on my chair to sit in front of the printers. You don't see the storage area where i store right now 21,5 bottles/liters of black ABS-alike Resin and also clear Resin and a couple of other bottles with differentz colors.

But that has shown also a problem. The washing machine (on my picture in the middle) is at a higher frequency that loud that it hurts my ears. I have that sound a couple of time in my ears even the washing process has finalized. If one is more sensitive on that sound i wouldn't suggest that person to buy this Elegoo combination.

I haven't done any resin printing yet, but aren't you worried working like that? I mean, from what I gather there is a strong odour when printing with resin. And being smelly isn't the problem, but being toxic. Also I guess you are indoor, so the ambient temp around the printer is within acceptable limits. Shouldn't the printer be in the dark? or it doesn't matter so much?

There are a lot of stories and ferrytails around resin printing. I don't have it smelly here as i have two small active coal filters inside the printer. ;)

If i open my mouth to breath air, it is also toxic by all the pollution of the fabrication, the cars on the road etc. You don't need to live downtown in a smoggy area. If you eat conveinience products from the foods industriy it could be dangerous. Even if you drink a soft drink it could because of the used sugar and chemicals be hazardous. It's harder to take the smell on the washing machine. There Isopropyalcohole is used. There one can make "high" if you don't take care about.

The resin inside the printer has to have a certain temperature to be fluidable enough to get under the print plate. I never had an issue on that.

Light is not a big issue if there is no direct sun ray hitting the opened printer. The cover protects with an amount of 99.9%. Thats the reason for the yellow covers. I also live in an area with less sunshine. In a valley surrounded by a hell of higher hills. Also the printer is a bit away from the next window standing in the room corner. There are also fabric covers available to protect the machines from sunlight.

In general i don't have issues when printing and working with resin. As mentioned before there are a lot of warnings etc around. In Germany also the microwave shows a warning that nobody should dry a pet inside. I got a new wisher/vacuum cleaner last month. The first couple of pages have been only warnings about the usage. All this is my own opinion and experience. It must not be the opinion of anybody else nor i want to influence somebody. Everbody is responsible about his own doing.

That's right as a american did put his cat into the microwave to dry it. After that person got to a court and said: "Nobody warned me". Einstein once said: "Two things in the world are endless. The universe and the stupidy of the humans. But I'm unsure about the universe". And all of the stupidy you see in the warnings of a products manual. There are also warnings that one should not place pet's in a washer for clothes. There are warnings that one should not drink the Isopropylalcohol or resin,...

Yeah, I understand it's your personal experience/opinion, that's why I am asking. All good here. Thank you for the time to share it. I got gifted an old resin printer from a friend that clears his garage and I bought my first bottle of resin, sooo I am about dip my fingers into it ahahah. Machine is Longer Orange 10. Managed to sort out the software side of things, uses their own slicer and Chitubox 1.6 as alternative.

The smell is strongly depending on the marque and type of the resin. As a slicer i could also recommend Mango3D Lychee. The basic version is for free and all the important machine settings are already included. I use in general MS 3D Builder, OpenSCad, Lychee Slicer and the Anycubic one (Only for Anycubic machines). More i doon't need.

I just finished to construct a holding clamp for ny SSD Cooler. I'm owning the Samsung 990 Pro in 2TB and also 4TB. The original clamp by Alphacool was trash in this combination. The cooler was dancing on the SSD. No matter which pad thickness was used. My own clamp is using a 0,5mm Arctic TP3 pad. And it holds. If the cooler moves around the heat isn't transferred to the cooler. Next i will work on the 4TB version. BTW all the SSD's are single sided. All for my new build.

Edit:
I forgot. If light is a problem you can also use a VAT cover (like those ones).

Printed another Amsterdam paint tube holder [link]. Using Tinkercad I cut a portion of to better fit my print bed.

And because I was printing again I decided to print a belt clip (link). Now before, I was using a hook&tie which works fine but it would also hook with my sweaters & hoodies. This print solves that issue.
Will see how long it last. I used 25% infill which seems fine but don't print with a brim cause it was a pita to remove.

(^ upsidedown pic) The end piece of the belt is friction tight inserted, just slide it down and it's free.

A stand for my Enterprise model [LINK]. The tolerances were off the charts and I needed to adjust a couple parts but in the end no glue needed. Except on of the tips on the emblem part.

Should I paint the model?

Edit
And a Samurai-style pen holder [LINK]. I modified it to just hold 1 pen.

I really need to fix up my printers and move at least one of them to my office. Ender3v2 worked on an off for some time(probably printed off over 50kg of plastic), now it sits disassembled on my kitchen table for over 3mo, cause I'm too lazy to fix wiring, add second Z-axis motor, and replace the hotend. Got the old one killed with some low-quality "experimental" PETG.
The other one is also covered by cobwebs.

On the bright side - it appears I have enough time to fix customer's printers. Got to play with Creality K1 for a few days - excellent printer, very fast, and relatively cheap too.
Definitely a worthy contender over Bambulab, especially after recent "update" drama.
The only thing I don't like, is the firmware, which is a castrated version of Klipper. I've already installed full Mainsail, but for some reason Power Loss Recovery stopped working.
But at least now it has proper input shaper, adaptive bed mesh leveling (only probes the area where print will be located instead of the whole bed), and all kinds of cool macros.

Also on topic of printing:
...never happened to me, and here we go again.... Broke a plunger on a big MX4 syringe. Used it for a few weeks like this, only to remember that I can print a gizmo for that (which I actually use daily on my solder paste and flux syringes)...

Printed a few spares just in case, since that K1 goes back to its owner tomorrow and I don't know when I will finally get time to fix my workhorsies. :slap:

I've been out of the 3D printing game for a while, but about a week or so ago, I got my printer (Anet A8) working again.

Today, I finished converting it from direct drive to a Bowden extruder setup.

I printed the print head and extruder mounts and used a decent-quality E3D V6 clone.

I can't use it until the new belts arrive tomorrow (the ones I had, aside from being crappy plastic belts, are too short for the new belt mounts I want to use), but I've tested the new heater and thermistor, and I've successfully extruded filament.
