Aesthetically unparalleled. Uncompromised in performance. Most popularly known for pushing PCs past their limits and holding multiple records at the world's largest overclocking events, Ian "8Pack" Parry is no stranger when it comes to breaking the laws of what many PC enthusiasts would commonly consider to be the impossible.

Meet the 8Pack Rocket. Distinctly crafted, highly refined and equipped with nothing less than the best, 8Pack's latest beast isn't one that's happy being confined to the home. Designed for portability and travel, all-the-while packing the power; the 8Pack Rocket is an overclocked powerhouse for on-the-go performance that's perfect for LAN parties.

Powering the heart of this competition-crushing showstopper resides an Intel core i5 6600K processor. Unchained by the standards set by Intel, this quad-core menace has been set free by the manufacturer's limits - pushing over 4.8 GHz without breaking a sweat.

Thats some healthy profit margin...
And why the fck does it costs more than the system with an i7 6700k and a Radeon Duo?!

They are really hoping you want to buy it for the name alone... I am sorry but for that much money you could build a machine with two Titan X pascals and at least a 6 core Intel processor while liquid cooling the whole thing. Even getting special service with it to me does not warrant that price.

I guess if you spread the cash for 5 years personal mobile support number + 5 years free labor then the price makes sense, but perhaps someone living in their area of operation can say if this is ok or not ( I don't live in UK and I have no idea how much IT services like PC assembly / dust removal/ "just asking" / etc cost :) )

Space and watercooler availability. It's a super short PCB.

But as others said, for that price you could build a titan x sli rig, the case would be a bit larger then.

If you brought that to a LAN party, I think you'd get your head kicked in. Like turning up for a drag race in a gold plated, diamond encrusted Veyron.

Yeah, not the best performer for it's ostentatious design.

Still - cheap compared to:

At least free shipping....:p

nice addition of coloum inches to pad the 1st post out
Could you please delete the surplus inches :)

You can tell that whoever made this case is not a gamer nor have they ever actually travelled to a LAN party.

First clue? you guys forgot the bloody handle.

Ricdiculousness!

A complete waste of space material and functions of liquid cooling. Not worth the money for such a lipstick and bad efficiency . they give 1000+ € in cooling and are not able to add 100€ for i76700K processor , here to see how screwed up this project is . This project is a complete loss of balance .

i5 6600K (not i7) and R9 nano not anything from 2016 i is because they wanted to keep the price low :D

I'm guessing the price is coming from the custom case (the acrylic front plate that acts as a reservoir can't be cheap, etc) and the 5 years of support.

The Fury X makes sense due to the size and it's ability to overclock on water (or at least I think it does, right?).

Any word on which "512GB NVMe Storage Drive and 1TB Samsung SSD" they're using? I would hope it's a 950 Pro for that price.
I also wonder if they're using a service like Silicon Lottery to source their high-overclocking CPUs.

Edit: The absurd price puts this in the news and gets people talking about it and the kinds of people who have money to throw at this could also be the kinds of people to say "Oh, you've heard of the 8pack Rocket, have you? Well guess what! I've got one!"

ugly? check
ridiculous name? check
pricey? check
so so hardware? check
our world's population progressively becoming dumber and dumber? check

Please don't take this comment too seriously!

Obviously it's going to cost a lot due to the name, the form factor, and most of all the guaranteed/warranted 4.8GHz clock.

I guess they might sell a couple of those to some not-that-bright rich people

The name? Ian Parry is just another bum who doesn't want to work for a living, instead he sells his "name" to mentally challenged people with much more money than brains. So he can overclock a PC? Worlds records? Does that make him some kind of hero? This culture of ours is beyond help if they sell even one of these...

Just like Michael Jordan, Dr Dre, George Foreman, Etc...

2 packs dumber than a 6 pack.

ridiculously overpriced hardware....
i bet that you can buy and mod a better build for half the price... incluiding all tools needed....
