Strange, the ATI site is STILL showing 8.12. Sapphire have updated to 9.1 (as well as here, ta W1z!).

It's almost like someone over at ATI is sabotaging their best efforts. :shadedshu

I bet they are going threw major cut backs and lay offs right now ...tensions probably pretty high with AMD and this may affected the cat quality ...just a thought.

Just had a look at the AMD Game forum, the moderator "Spyre" has posted that the 9.1 DOESN'T contain the multi-core enhancements found in the 8.12 hotfix. Apparantly they'll be included in a future release....

Ati's site has finally been updated. I've heard these are good for those with more than 4GB Ram or those playing Mirror's Edge or are going to be using OpenGl 3.0. Otherwise, stick with 8.12 Hotfix (and is probably what I'll do). I'll try the 9.1 Southbridge / RAID drivers and report if there is anything better (the last one I used stably was 8.10).

Edit: Unbelievably lame. The 9.1 Sata Raid drivers are really just the same old ones I had, but this time without a digital signiture, so I cannot boot into Vista x64 without disabling driver signature enforcement! And furthermore, I cannot download the 9.1 Southbridge drivers because the download consistently stops downloading after 1MB and corrupts itself. Not good!

Aye, but if you don't have a problem with 8.12 hotfix then stick with it, 9.1 doesn't have the multi core CPU enhancements....

Has anyone endured any issues with these drivers. I'm at work but I want to know before I download them if its gonna be a huge headache later.

I wouldn't trust anything their moderators say. Some may remember one of them from TPU.

lol ...i had enough of the 9.1's back on the 8.12 w/hotfix ...all is back to normal...they did somthing in 9.1's with OpenGL cuz FurMark wouldnt launch for anything...Works great now w/8.12's

I had to do the long way too to get the install back ...ccc removed via ctrl panel...reboot...a run with Driver Cleaner Pro...a run with CCleaner Registry tool...a reboot and a fresh install of 8.12's w/hotfix with a reboot via the applications prompts ....Then one more reboot to set everything because well just because. :toast:

...it was a interesting run with the 9.1's .....ya the interesting part was getting back to 8.12.s and the funny looking GTA IV people with no face just hair and friggin chompers (funny as h3ll) .
