From a neighbor to another - I'd wait.

https://www.emag.ro/placa-video-xfx...16gb-gddr6-256-bit-rx-97tswf3b9/pd/DM4PPY3BM/ , one of the cheapest models, 800 EUR including VTA ( about 1600 BGN).

On the other hand, with the orangutan and his tariffs, who knows what's next in terms of pricing...
Еmag was never an option for me - they always have that overpriced items. For no reason. At least the Emag prices for Bulgaria are like that. Yes , if you can't find some parts at your local resellers - Emag is the place , they always have what you need ,but at what cost... And our prices here are really clumsy even with the reseller prices , what else for the Emag which is waiting on the resellers to not have available parts so they can increase their own prices...

Yeah. 4W difference is truly a BIG DEAL.:D

I wouldn't judge the efficiency of a card just by TDP

pwr draw 9070XT vs 7900XTX.jpg

I think is more like 25-30 W, in the future game maybe the gap in between the 2will increase, IDK, will see.

If we get real overclocking on these cards, it could be as much as +50W but it looks like the new Adrenalin menus and settings have power curve kneecapped along with frequency boost algo. I'll check this out for myself very soon. Been sitting on this for way too long.

Sorry to hear that. I wrongly presumed that if I see those prices they're the same to you. My mistake.

I can get 7900XTX for the same money as 7900XT brand new (1500BGN ) , but the 7900XTX is without warranty , here is the GPU (they give me 3 days to test it)
, what do yall think about this deal ?

The card passes 2-3 hours of Fynal Fantasy loop test , all the tests .The person who sells it said to me that he can do any tests that I want on the GPU . He is the one that sold me the 5800X3D second hand and its 3 months already the CPU is fine. He also have 400+ great reviews on his webpage in OLX(website for 2nd hand items)

RDNA4 solves 2 key things, ray tracing and FSR4 that RX 7900 XT still has big issues with. I think choice is pretty clear.

At the higher power draw that is not undervolting it's just a overclocking (poor efficiency) that's way i don't like it.

For me UV is when lowering watts and at the same time not losing any performance RX 7900 XT just can't handle that....
I dont have experience with 7900XT but my 7900XTX Nitro+ can save a lot of power going from stock settings to GPU UV (-100mV) for the same performance.

A Superposition example:

1. Stock GPU
GPU clock limit: 3200+MHz
GPU voltage limit: 1150mV
VRAM: 2487MHz
TBP: 406+W

Actuall power: 403W
FPS: 136

2025-04-07.png

2. Tuned GPU
GPU clock limit: 2705MHz
GPU voltage limit: 1050mV (-100mV)
VRAM: 2600MHz (+113MHz)
TBP: 366W (-40w)

Actual power: 337W (-66W)
FPS: 136

This is a 16% power reduction.
I had to lower GPU frequency because -10% from adrenalin wasn't enough to much performance.

Read that post again, slowly.
Ray Tracing? Is a 3090 faster at RT than a 7900XTX?

FSR? I love how many people are touting a technology that they have not seen for themselves.

Then the 7900XT is almost $300 less than a 9070XT. Is that worth that amount?

9070XT, it's a new architecture, which is generally better supported by AMD. Gradually, architectures with limited ML/AI capabilities will be sidelined by both manufacturers and developers. uDNA is expected to continue evolving in this direction, and unfortunately, there’s no turning back.

Always avoid purchasing expensive hardware without a warranty, no matter the circumstances.. Unless you're a gambling addict. :')

This is a 16% power reduction.

Maybe it's just a silicon lottery or lower tier gpus like pulse are not as good for UV. I also have a good or similar experience with my RX 7800 XT Pure -13% power draw same fps and 100% stable in all cases.

At 337w nitro+ looks good if it's 100% stable in all cases.

I can get 7900XTX for the same money as 7900XT brand new (1500BGN ) , but the 7900XTX is without warranty , here is the GPU (they give me 3 days to test it) Xfx 7900 xtx test , what do yall think about this deal ?
That's nothing special for 766€ (without warranty it's a deal breaker)

In a week time there's a chance that i will get a RX 9070 XT (new with warranty) for 670€ that's the real deal p/p wise future etc.

If price being equal, almost always a 7900 xtx is best, and a 9070 xt is second best. Theoretically and if one cares about AI performance, RDNA4 has significant performance and capability improvements such that it should be faster than the 7900 xtx there, but, ROCm aint even available for 9070 xt yet :kookoo:

Even at the same price

RX 7900 XTX is only ~ 5% faster than RX 9070 XT in raster, ~ 18% slower in RT and also no FSR4 support, higher power draw, screen capture quality is also worse probably. To call it best for the same price it's a big head scratch for me because it just simply lacks of too many things. Even to consider XTX is should be at least 50-70€ cheaper than a 9070 XT.

Squad is broken on CPU optimization level. GPU doesn't help that much.

That's a good bonus but is it really better than FSR4 ? :)
By raw numbers the best case scenario is when using RX 7900 XTX at 4k (only raster no RT) at 1440p RX 9070 XT is slightly closer to XTX when using only raster.
But when it comes to RT the higher the resolution the bigger advantage RX 9070 XT gets over 7900 XTX.

I think that 16GB of vram at this stage is not a problem maybe when new consoles are coming out something may change.

I am not using RT anyway , it ruins performance.Someday when RT allows you to keep decent FPS maybe I will use it.

Knowing that most Next-Gen games are going to have RT and that the 9070 XT is much better at it I'd rather get a 9070 XT ! Also FSR 4 is already much better than FSR 3.1 and it will only get better over time so 9070 XT without a doubt.

PS: it's more efficient too:
