This seems different from the one I was using before. It doesn't have the patched DD+DTS, nor does it have the Realtek Audio Control app. Thank you though.

The last versions I found to be almost perfect were the Apr'23, Dec'23 and Jan'24 releases. I seem to have deleted Dec'23, though. The HDAud here also worked fine but there was no stereomix.

On motherboard Acer q65h2-am v1.1 with alc662 instal AAFOptimusDCHAudioPack-Realtek-jan-22-24(Realtek 6.0.9621.1),work,only sound blaster connect not work and uninstal this.
On Asus prime a320m-k with alc887/897 instal last AAFOptimusAudioPack_9655,work all.
Lag on CS2 on both computer im solved with Sonic Studio 3 and enable device routing.

Is this in Windows 10 or Windows 11? I can't get it working on Windows 11 with a Realtek ALC233. There is no sound devices after restart. I don't know what else to do.

Someone who has been doing it for a very long time, hit a wall and does not want to spent the time repeatedly fixing issues.
You have no idea how much code you have to analyse in machine code, and then reverse engineer it.....

There are lots of programmers out there, but very few who can reverse engineer machine code.


You could imagine it this way, someone finds an exploit in Windows code and makes a virus, Microsoft fix said code.
In this case its not a virus but a way to unlock software code, and then it gets fixed in an update.

The biggest problem is the creators themselves, they will lock for example Dolby to a specific device with a license.
As a consumer you are NOT able to buy a license on a random device, that does not come with one.

In a scenario where you purchased a mobo with Dolby, you cant use that with your USB headphones.

I've tried installing AAFOptimus 9655 on a clean install of Win10 and Win11 and disabling antivirus. All seems to install fine and whatever APO I install opens up like it seems to work....but no matter what adjustments to sound, or enabling disabling has no effect on audio. There's no difference.

The author left several years ago now. While it is admirable some of dug or otherwise attempted to help with the project, the reports and in some cases dubious downloads received and presented make this too much to keep up with, with no one to steer the ship.

Feel free to utilize what links are available if you want to want to continue to chase these specific builds. Otherwise other threads stickied may provide what you need.

Who knows, maybe you will be lead on a new project.
