The bus driver that I make available in my package, although it is signed, is not a WHQL signature, just like the other driver files. Therefore, with the exception of generic drivers, if any of these devices (Realtek audio chip or Intel SST bus) already have a driver installed that contains the WHQL signature, the drivers in this package will not be able to impose themselves on the installation, as Windows will always give preference to WHQL drivers.
I see, everything works great except for the installer won't work, it's ok , I can install INF manually

Are the buses working correctly with my driver?
Sound is ok, but mic won't work, still have to install intel SST drivers first, can't use your bus driver only

Hello. Glad to see you back to the forum and keep updating it. Thanks for your great work!
Currently I found that the latest AAF Driver couldn't control volume on my laptop, no matther how I change my volume in Windows, the speaker always output at max volume, only mute will work.
Here's my hardware ID:
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0294&SUBSYS_1043115F&REV_1000
My laptop is ASUS Zenbook UM325UA, with AMD Ryzen 5700U.
Hope this will be fix on next release, thanks!

Seems like a lot of people are having volume control issues?

Also i found the problem that when laptop being sleep for a long time (maybe above 3~4 hours i think?)
The audio will be compelete gone, no matter what volume i choose it won't have any audio output.
The only solution without restart computer is go to device manager to update driver with AAF's one.
This has been happened since the old version, such as 9518 and 9647.

I asked in their Discord and their tech support said it's consumer standard and only does 2 channel PCM or multichannel bitstream. Not even sure how multichannel PCM over SPDIF is possible anyway due to the bandwidth
The last part, I absolutely hate that. Its not 1983. What bandwidth does SPDIF have then? I can tell you it does not specify a bandwidth, there is not a limit.
The only thing that prevents multichannel SPDIF is the transmitter and receiver, again its not 1983. Got updated at some point.

That's like saying HDMI 2.X can only do the bandwidth of HDMI 1.0, well 2.X is an updated version ofc.

----

HDMI and SPDIF using a HDA bus will be limited to ~37 Mbits/s, even your GPU is limited to ~37 Mbits/s, 125 Mbits/s is greater than ~37 Mbits/s.
So, to use the full amount of TOSLink high speed, you would need multiple HDA buses or USB 2.0 audio (480 Mbits/s).

SPDIF.png

----

Another thing is, ~37 Mbits/s for audio is a tiny number, RGB optical can shift 10 channels, 200 million samples (ps), 256 bit as [2 Gbits/s RAW].
In PCM that would need, 512 Gbits/s in comparison, in both cases its uncompressed audio, just different methods.

Hi guys, I'm trying to install your driver, I can't figure out how to make it work on my laptop. I have a G752VSK, it has a built-in subwoofer, I see it in the mixer but it doesn't work. Is it possible to import the configuration from the original driver somehow? I would also like to set up the equalizer separately for the front speakers, for the subwoofer and for the headphones in the 3.5 jack. Where is the audio codec configuration stored at all? I want to connect two more speakers and install them in the monitor, I can solder an amplifier board to an unoccupied audio output, but I have no idea where to turn it on later :)
bump, help me please if possible

The only possibility is through the "AAF Audio Tweak Tool" located on your Desktop. Open it, click on the Driver Policy tab and then click on Get Driver Policy. Several options will be automatically selected after this process. Click Save to save the changes and restart your computer.

Another thing to take with a pinch of salt, i.e. [out of date information], is also the wiki page, which has not been right in years.
Take a look at the SPDIF table shown at the bottom of the wiki page, and compare it with the current version.

Hello great author, I have a question that has been bothering me for a long time. I'm using win10,22h2. After installing all the software, I don't know where to open them. For example, DolbyAtmos, I can only open it from the Microsoft App Store. I can't find it in the start menu. When I find the corresponding exe file from Task Manager and try to open it, I get the message: Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access this project. How to solve this problem?

Also, does it support AirPods Bluetooth headphones?

is it worth buying dolby access for spatial audio instead of this?

i had a problem with sound and internal speakers and microphone disappeared from device manager. solution was in deivce manager manually uninstall devices in audio processing objects. There will be aaf...devices which wasnt uninstalled/deleted with uninstallation of aaf tweak from control panel.
@ragavendranbala try to reinstall it and Dts select main processing. not alternative. thats worked for me

Strangely, I used the official new ASUS drivers for my board and it also was having master volume problems, ie unable to adjust.

I have the same problem, you can try not to check AAF bus driver control during installation, that's how I solved it.

Can the author try to adapt the Bluetooth headset? It is really convenient. Thank you

Thats not working. Nothing changed at all. I still have internal subwoofer in mixer but no sound. With dolby digital driver i have only one output in mixer, but subwoofer is working, it sounds awesome, but main speakers are trying to explode. I'm still looking for a way to set up the equalizer for all channels individually. Is it hardcoded somewhere, or can I somehow find the configuration?

选择了 ASIO 驱动程序进行安装,软件能够正常检测到 ASIO 设备,但点击选择后,提示它不工作。

English Please! :)

Translated: "If you select the ASIO driver for installation, the software can detect the ASIO device normally, but after clicking Select, it will prompt that it is not working"

I wanted to boost my volume output. Right now I am using Dolby custom EQ with every frequency set to max but that is not a good solution for me as I also want to use other profiles. Are there any other good methods?
I have also seen somewhere that there is volume boost option under the Enhancements tab.
So, I also wanted to ask that how am I supposed to enable Enhancements tab in sound settings while using AAF Optimus Audio Drivers. I think I am supposed to do something in the Realtek HDA Driver Utility but got no clues.
I am using Windows 11 24H2 with AtlasOS on my Lenovo Legion 15IRX9.
