If you are answering to my question, then I must say that I've no realtek driver installed, I've only installed the APO Driver from Alanfox and after that, I've uninstalled it. I've also tried with the driver provided here, the AAF Optimus.^look into dev mgr for audio devices and check which driver are you using for realtek, intel.... i had the same problem and one device (intel audio) was installed without driver. after manual selected drive for intel hd it started working again.
The issue is that I have a stream that comes as PCM format already in 5.1 channels. What I want is to send this stream through the HDMI but compressed and encoded with Dolby Digital Plus (I managed to have this working with the APO Driver from Alanfox) or even better, with DTS.
I've tried all drivers and methods, readed a lot on this forums, but can't get DTS working. Never.
So what I want to have is, the same I get a "Dolby Digital" format between the list of availability for my HMDI out, one with DTS format. This way when the TV device sends the audio to my decoder (optical wire) it will have a raw bitstream format which the decoder will decode as DTS to get the output to the speakers.
So, can anyone help please with this? How should I configure the driver to get DTS encoded through my HDMI output? As I said, the sound chip in motherboard is realtek ALC233 and HDMI output is from Intel UHD integrated graphics (630 I believe)
