Active Media Products, manufacturer of SSDs and innovative USB drives, today announced the new Wink USB drive measuring merely 1.2 x 0.5 x 0.1 inches and tipping the scales at only 1/20 of an ounce. The Wink drive is available now in capacities from 2GB to 16GB.

Waterproof Wink Drive Measures only 1.2 inches Long and Weighs Less Than 1/20 Oz. Although its size is small, the Wink drive's storage capacity is great. The 16GB model holds up to 5,000 MP3 songs. The Wink drive is also quite rugged. The delicate electronics are encapsulated in a waterproof COB unit, which is in turn protected by a high-impact polymer outer shell. The outer case features an embossed wink face and an eye hole for an included keychain. According to Active Media Products VP of Sales, Jerry Thomson, "We designed the Wink drive to be extremely small, yet rugged and reliable." These new drives are Windows 7 and OS X compatible. All four capacities are available today through Amazon at prices starting at $7.95.

I'd buy that just for the face!

*reaches into pocket*
wanna see my wink?

*gasp* its so small!

its big where it matters baby... data storage ;)

Waterproof AND rugged? Does that mean I can drive over it under water with an amphibious vehicle?

40 bucks... thats a nice price for such a thing. Altho I don't like that face at all.

pny hav been making drives like this for years

Ah, but the wink is 0.001mm smaller and 0.001g lighter, therefore deserving the "World's first smallest lightest" moniker. ;)

Also the easiest to lose. You are going to need to stick a BIG KEYFOB on that thing so you dont lose it!

I was just going to embed it under my skin!

ive lost 2 of them. lol

I don't like the idea of having the contacts exposed like that if I'm ever going to put it in my pocket or on a key ring.

Your keys are metal are don't scratch up to much, I'm sure metal contacts will be fine, the plastic is more likely to wear quicker :D

Yeah like this guy......

***like you said, I would just buy it for the winky face ;), throw it on my key chain and never walk the streets un-stored again.

Mine's bigger... and err, smaller.

Seriously though - I have a micro SDHC adaptor/8GB card on my keychain that's about the same size, though no smiley face.

though no smiley face.

keep walkin' bub, no ones interested in your fancy citified non smiley face usb mass storage device! :D

Yes, I guess my storage device is soooooooo yesterday! Same with my shoes.

Not a bad deal, but from what I have seen, these do not stand up well in my pocket clanking against keys 14 hours a day.

I think its more designed to go on a lanyard round your neck.

Along with your G-unit spinner and phat gold chains of course ;)

Wow, they really did that.

Sort of like Super Talent's Pico drive series? I got one of them like a year ago. Really super tiny drives and pretty handy.
