After unveiling four new cases for this fall, AeroCool shifted its focus to accessories such as fan controllers. The company has two new products planned for this fall, one of which is its Strike-X X-1000. A combination of a five-channel fan controller, USB 3.0 front-panel ports (standard front-panel header), and audio jacks (HDA header), the X-1000 is a front-panel replacement. Each of the five fan channels has its own analog speed control, and can deliver a maximum power output of 25W. The controller also includes five thermal probes that can be stuck onto key components such as CPU cooler, graphics cards, memory, etc. AeroCool plans to release the X-1000 to the market by early-October.

nice combination between fan controller and usb 3.0, but the 'X' accent is kinda bad

Those fan connectors seem to be Male ones... How are you suppost to hook up a fan to that without modding the cables.

So you dont need anymore to buy a new case with USB 3.0 headers.

Actually it looks like a fan header (minus the wire) is plugged into each port. Either a protective covering to keep the pins from getting bent, or they photoshopped the wires out.

The controller like most. Most likely comes with fan cable extensions. Which most likely has a female connector on the other end of the extension.

I Haven't used a fan controller in years.

I like Voltage Reduction Cables better.

Its not photshoped. It has male fan headers. If you think about it. It is right. What type of fan headers are on a motherboard?...male. Since fans have female connectors.

the controller comes with 2 fan extensions, and a usb3/2 adapter for your mobo so you you'll have either or depending on what your board support.

The fans can be completely turned off with the starting voltage at 5v at 50% rpm.

It helps to look up the manual instead of jumping to negatives.

I actually kinda like this. It looks alot better then the dual bay strike x panel in red. That one looks really tacky.

pretty nice fan controller. the theme will go flush with a black case and red, etc.

alarm speaker but no leds ??

the alarm is for temps to high. its not a board alarm. there are lights for power and temp error for fans

They'll get my attention when they make one capable of handling 40w per channel.

Seems pretty damn nice to me, I like that there is 25W per channel.

are you sure its 25W per channel?
i think its probably 25W total...

25W per channel would be overkill, 10W would be nice though in case its summer, you crank up some powerful fans to full speed cause your playing games and dont notice the fan noise anyways

Here"s the specs:

as you can see it is 25w per channel but does caution going over that.
