Alphacool showcased their Eisball reservoir back at Computex 2019, which stole a considerable number of looks due to its uncommon shape. Now, the company has announced availability for the Dragon Ball-shaped reservoir. Compatible with VPP 655/755 pumps or all original Laing D5 pumps, the Eisball keeps its appearance clean with black-sleeved cables, and features an RGB ring for added bling on your rig.

Weighing 610 g and supporting operating temperatures up to 61º C, it has a maximum capacity of 700 ml, with support for mounting options on radiators or fan slots supporting either 120 mm or 140 mm fans. The Alphacool Eisball reservoir will be available from tomorrow, 8th of August. No word on pricing as of yet, but this space will be updated when that information is made available by the company.

I guess this is useless if you mount your radiator vertical.

Nope... centrifugal effect still works fine. How does the CPU AIO pumps work then? Haven't that popped in your head?

It does look like something from 90ties tho... and to sacrifice one FAN spot on the rad... it is cuckoo...

That's assuming everyone goes for push-pull wich is far from being the case .......

It looks like a Death Star.... So, Cool Star?

Dont need to mount on the rad.

The mount at least could have some vibration dampening even if it screwed elsewhere in the case.

But tbh... it looks like novelty item anyways... so no stress.

ea genius boy, to work it, first you need fill up your system, good luck doing it with this size reservoir and side mounted or etc :)

Have you ever seen a plastic bottle with a sports cap? It fits the tube just fine. Just squeeze the bottle with the coolant inside the loop from any place. And then power up the pump, it will suck up and start to work. Zero issues. My LP boxes always had pumps in odd places without being under reservoir.

Alphacool dropped the ball...

On a side note, isn't 61C for a max temp in a COOLING system a tad too low? I can easily imagine OC CPU&GPU in the same loop heating the water to 65C or above.

700ml? Yeah, there's no way that's correct.

This could work really with someones aesthetic. Cool that it exists for someone out there.

I might be interested in this

Yep, ask yourself would you need fans in a push pull config in a sealed case with one or 2 exhaust fans

Totally no as it gives diminishing results. It ain't air cooling. And usually there is no space for that.

Increase the rad thickness and greater static pressure fan.

These look great, like with Phanteks we get alternative designs over the standard cylinder style res.
I could definitely see these offering extra theming in many builds, Industrial, Pokemon the list is almost endless :)

Dragon ball shaped?
You mean ball shaped?

hence a dragon ball is called a dragon >ball<, because its a ball....ball shaped

I believe the list does indeed have a limit, specifically one related to the question "is a ball-shaped object relevant to this theme?" ;)

I did say 'almost' :D
I do love these things though and will hopefully find a place for two pumps and some passive ones in a future build.

At least promise me you'll do that build in an In-Win Winbot? Anything else would be a missed opportunity.

I feel like an idiot. I thought it was just a reservoir. Not a reservoir & a pump. dur...

That would be an Inception build, a ball within a ball within a ball within a ball.....
