Well, I have an X570 Elite paired with a 3700X, RX Vega 64, 2 PCIe Gen. 4 NVMe drives, and most of my USB ports populated that is a Hackintosh running macOS 99% of the time and I have yet to experience ANY of the described issues, nor have others in the community. However, when I game in windows I randomly have my Logitech wireless keyboard w/mouse, XBOX One controller (both wired and wireless), and iFi xDSD USB DAC drop out and reconnect as described by others, sometimes multiple times per session. Every time this occurs I scream F-ing Windows! Rock solid in macOS! I have always assumed for the past year it was software. Just my 2 cents...I dont see it as a software problem if it also happens on linux.

I have to think so. I had a B450 and R5 2600 before my current setup, and it had a ton of problems with USB (and also with my GPU) that went away when I switched to 10700k/z490. My Mouse and Keyboard would often just stop working until I unplugged them and replugged them back in. I also had issues where it wouldn't recognize certain things in certain USB ports, so I had to arrange all my peripherals in specific spots. That board (Gigabyte Aorus B450) had a ton of quirks with it.Does this Issue appear on B450 or x470 motherboards?
not to mention B550 boards are expensive like ryzen 5000 series and almost nostock for the processor.
the best budget option is to get b450 +r5 3600 i suppose

Buildzoid were running his overclocked, that's not the way to troubleshoot things.Have any one tried this solution here?
I tried this on my own Asus ROG Strix B550-A Gaming and my mouse is working better no small hitching or shuttering.
If it's reliably reproducible on one OS and not in another (assuming you tested long enough), then it's very likely a software problem, either driver and/or OS.My solution: block Win10 updates for 35 days. Install AMD drivers. Repeat as needed. It seems like Win10 reverts both USB and Radeon on my laptop as fast as it can. Otherwise, my mouse is glitchy, and one of my 3 ports literally doesn't work, and the other two reconnect a lot. Maybe this is a different problem than what's being reported here, I don't know.
I don't remember any mouse issues while booted into Tumbleweed Linux. As far as I can tell, on 2 laptops here, it's 100% software issue.
Anything that happens when overclocking is self-inflicted.Hi,
Lots of weird stuff happens when memory is off mostly when BLCK frequency oc'ing is overdone.

I suspect these problem occurred when utilizing USB 3.2 Gen 1 or whatever retarded name is, and more like isolated VR headset problem not USB in general. I had fully populated USB port on Asrock B550M Steel Legend ( 1 wireless mouse, 1 wireless keyboard, 1 docking station, 1 USB WiFi, 1 wireless bluetooth for PS4 controller, 1 USB to RJ45 , 1 USB type C HUB and 1 USB capture card ) and the only problem I get is USB type C not recognizing my phone Google Pixel 3, but then again that were Google.
edited : I'm running PCIe Gen 4.0 for my RX5700XT, all tweak from 1usmus1 like Ryzen Power Plan (enabling C-States in BIOS) and Ryzen Memory Calculator.
Try with USB 2.0, I had much luck with it for OEM unlocking or adb tweaking rather than if I was using USB 3.0

I know my Auros X570 Pro has issues with USB 3.2 completely unrelated to this issue and Navi 10 doesn't trigger the USB 2.0 issues, Navi21 and Ampere cards seem to be the common factorI suspect these problem occurred when utilizing USB 3.2 Gen 1 or whatever retarded name is, and more like isolated VR headset problem not USB in general. I had USB resets that would occur at seemingly regular intervals on my x470 early on and seemed to be resolved by UEFI and/or chipset updates sometime after Update PinnaclePI-AM4_1.0.0.4 Patch C.Does this Issue appear on B450 or x470 motherboards?

I'm curious, how often do you have to reboot it?Wondering if it has any downstream impact on the Bluetooth and Ethernet dropout issues that seem to affect many B550/X570 owners regardless of board manufacturer (which is fixed by pulling the power plug for a short while, but keeps coming back) and that fixing this problem might miraculously help there.
If I may add; there is a simple way to block Windows update: disable updates on metered connections, and set your network connection as metered. My solution: block Win10 updates for 35 days.
