13.4 does really well for me so I guess I'll just wait for the next WHQL

Yes, I know. But I'm not using Crossfire, just single HD7790

Try Google "AMD Radeon 7790 300 Mhz" or "7790 stuck at 300 Mhz", you'll find a couple of similar incidents, even here at TPU : http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=185738

i get it now. the last beta crashed my system. im on the last official driver as well.
