point being 3733 is good enough for gaming rigs,meh for enthusiasts.3600 c16 sticks are great value option these days,and they'll run fine on ryzen 3000,but you're losing added value from overclocking them past 4GHz.

It does in a practical sense by reducing the amount of cache misses and read from ram waits (especially during gaming) that the system experiences. Even with the same prefetch algorithm having more cache = less stutter and higher FPS in almost all game engines.

If you look at reviews of skylake X (which has about a ~70ns lag in quad channel at stock) and you look at gaming performance of 7800x, 7820x and 7900x you will clear frame rate jumps even when the game engine is not multi-threaded across virtually all games.

If AMD offer RX 5700 XT faster little then RTX2070 that mean NAVI is little slower then GTX1080Ti.
That's nice because mine GTX1080Ti will last at least as NAVI and become one of longest usable graphic card for high end gaming.
She is launched 2016 and AMD now start to offer similar speed.

Price is 450$ and I would very hard resist to Radeon but I bought GTX1080Ti and I'm not sorry because Radeon NAVI is slower.
Slower but great for people who don't want to pay price of RTX2080 for her performance or to buy RTX2070.
AMD politic is now much better, it's not premium speed but price is affordable for people who didn't upgrade 4-5 years.
For one custom model of RTX2080Ti could be bought NAVI Crossfire with waterblocks and complete custom watercooling for CPU with reservoir, radiator, pump, fittings everything for price of Matrix or K|NGP|N models. And NAVI CF is faster then RTX2080Ti.

which cleans the floor with core 2 duo/quad, especially at memory latency with onboard memory controller
put it on your best DDR3 and you are in 45 ns territory
excuse me, but in this forum anything that said on a specific object (in this case the zen 3000) automatically means that I say the opposite on the other company products ?

It was enough for me And i'll probably buy "only" a Ryzen 5 2600, because it is rather cheap for 127 € with Division 2 Gold Edition and World War Z included. I don't see the need to buy anything more expensive for now

It's not soooo bad but there is an additional delay compared to memory controller next to CPU cores.
What exactly do you mean by moving I/O Die closer to RAM?
