AMD HD 2900Pro Cards Now Available on Newegg

The only one that was left this time yesterday was the Sapphire 512mb...now they're all gone....

Not too bad, sell out the entire stock of all mfg's in 5 days? (not to mention they raised the price on the 1gb by $10 and lowered the price of the sapphire 512 by $5, then put it back LOL)

Wonder how tough it will be to find one of these in 6 months to run crossfire...maybe I'll donate it to the wife and grab a couple 2950pro's (wife has an 850pro @ xt-pe speeds, 12 pipes :() early next year :rockout:

I ordered my other 1Gb card yesterday day:)

On the search it said they where out, but when you looked at the item there was some still left.

They do have another shipment coming in. I wonder how many of them there will be.

The best I can find in the UK is £165  but I am keeping a VERY close eye on stock levels!

OMG - I ordered my card on Tues - just checked FedEx tracking "10/04/2007 OUT FOR DELIVERY "

WhoHooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!:toast:

Thats delivered TWO days after ordering, using 3 Day (the cheapest), it also shipped from the opposite coast, WOW!

Yeah I noticed that the HD2900 Pro 1GB is not there. I went to leave a review for but I couldn't. Why do you think the took it off their site?

Suspect they remove items if they don't expect to have any more inventory coming in. Weird, perhaps we'll see it again. I just hope I don't get a reject.

From what I read on the net maybe only 10,000 of these cards will be out there.

That report could be wrong!!!

Today is PROs day here:)

i think that could be true damulta, i think i posted somewere on here that there will be limited numbers of these cards available.

so when they slice up the wafer for the xt gpu's,do they test every die or just pick say 5 out of ten to test? it must take an awful lot of time to test every chip be it gpu or cpu before binning lower.

From what I have heard in the past how they do it.

I think they use the center of the wafer because that is the best of the best and the rest are binned. Not saying that all of the outer edges are bad, but the center is where the good stuff is.

Also long ago during the older days when the mid cards where selling sooo well they binned the high stuff to make up for the demand.

Who knows what they are doing to be honest.

Are we any nearer to you powering up a 2900Pro or two DaMulta, stocks are going down fast in the UK, I have even downloaded ATi Winflash and a Club 3D 2900XT Bios to get ready for the big flash!!!!! :rockout:

I went home from lunch and no boxes, and the dog didn't have them(I checked)

UPS says out for delivery

U think the new winflash will work? It was updated in sep 07

I hope so, I cannot flash in dos at startup cause my HDD's are NTFS formatted  September should be good, the 2900XT came out in May? should have sorted it by then hopefully.

hey guys, put up some gpu z validation links on here while ocing :)

Went to ship the FX-62 and seen the UPS man stopped at another house,,,,Made him give up my cards to me MAHAHHAHAHA

I have both purple boxes now, but I'm at work still.

Think I am going to opt for the Powercolor, have read the forum thread you posted before DaMulta, there are 2 guys in there with Club 3D cards and one hits 860 on the GPU but the other only 800  knowing my luck I would get a 800Mhz one so migh go for the Powercolor instead.....anyone have any preferences for the 2 manufacturers.....I have never owned cards from either of them.

Like I said I think they are all made at the same place, but I could be wrong about that.

Haven't owned either brand myself.
