AMD said from the beginning that we won't see new cards from them for most of this year. They also said the 8XXX series would be a rebrand. Those rebrands are for, as FordGT90Concept said, OEMs who want you to throw away your old box and buy a new one because it has a bigger number on it.

AMD is doing us a favor by not releasing the 8XXX series outside of OEMs. Keeps costs down for them and keeps costs down for us.
