I'm gonna wait for EK to come out with a block and get the regular air cooled 64. It will be more efficient, cheaper and probably quieter than the water cooled version above.

Sure gald I went with custom loop and not AIO years ago. Very easy to plumb something new into the loop...

I keep wondering if they got this idea from Microcenter....
You get $50 off a purchase of Motherboard and CPU and an additional $10 off if you purchase memory too...

Not even close. Microcenter offered big time savings for stuff you actually wanted. Example being a processor, most people get motherboards at the exact same time, ram too. I don't believe all that many people get new monitors every time they get a new GPU. Fry's Electronics also used to sell processors with 'free' motherboards. I remember I got an ECS board and Q6600 for less than cheapest priced Q6600 anywhere else, I actually thought it was a pricing error, not sure how they pulled that one off.

They did it because of the miners would of bought up all the stock. Had a video but this site won't link it at the time frame. You would have to watch the whole video.

That much is apparent but like DRM it does nothing to thwart the offending parties and makes life a little more difficult for the average joe. Miners can still buy the packs and now in addition to a gpu they now have discounted hardware they now can resell at a profit or break even.

Unless AMD will order that's a NO NO like it was with Fury X which was only allowed to be a reference design and nothing else

*edit for clarity*

You will be able to buy it in EU as well, just like you were with the Fury X.
As for non reference models.. The 'custom' fairytale doesn't particularly apply with Ati/RTG, as they usually ship with better materials than those used by Gigabyte, Asus, etc. You're not missing anything.
Assuming it's OCing you care about (and assuming there's a point with this card), again; order a reference, cool it yourself, just like you would with any other model. I don't see the issue here.

The only downside is a clear lack of mass.. mass production, hence all this. But that amounts to a waiting time that will apply to all of us.

Idk if this has been said b4 because i didn't get a chance time read through the comments but wtf AMD why isn't there a bundle that includes TR parts as well. I held out on Ryzen desktop and am i now being penalized for it? I want to pick up a Vega 64, Zenith mobo, a freesync monitor and a TR cpu...is that so hard to make possible as a bundle?

Excuse my little rant if this has already been addressed.

I don't think that many folk are whining buddy. It's a legitimate issue for some who probably would have liked to purchase the water cooled version. Given the TDP the blower (on past experience with previous releases) might be a little loud. The air version will likely throttle. The water cooled version is the boss.

But if you can't buy it on it's own, it's most definitely a bit shit. But on my part I'm still questionning how on earth that works. I mean, can you buy the water version at $699 and NOT buy the monitor as well? If so, that's not so bad but it does make it a tad more expensive (moreso than the cooler alone dictates).

So, no whining, legititate questions and head scratchings. Also, at 345 watts, the miners may not like this card as it's power/perf isn't optimal for mining.

Late reply, sorry.
Anyways, all that being said, you know what people can EASILY do? Find someone who wants to buy something that comes in the bundle, and buy together and you get a game for free as well. It's literally a way to pay less, get more, and avoid having no GPUs in stock. Sure it's a roundabout way of doing it, but how else would you do it? Hook people up to a truth detector and freakkin' question them? This is literally as good as it gets. I can't think of another way to avoid miners, can you?

Production just has to increase, plain and simple .

Just seen Threadripper and X399 pricing here and holy SH@T F&*K wont be buying them from a New Zealand retailer that's for damn sure not when the 1920X is $1300+ and the Asus X399 mobo is $1100+
