AMD Radeon RX 6600M on Desktop PCBs Being Sold for $180-ish

Why it even has 6pin PEG? Most probably it works fine without it. I do not see a tied VRM circuitry around it.
1) If the board power is >75W extra power is needed. According to spec a PCIe slot can't deliver more. Expect throttling without it.

2) VRM circuitry is *almost never* near power connectors (what's there is fuses, shunts and monitoring stuff). Controlling power is easier when the VRM is close to whatever's using it.

I'd love to buy one of these if they made a low profile version. Would be far superior to the trash rx 6400.

I bought one and I'm using it right now. Pretty cool card and a nice upgrade from my old RX470 that I also purchased from Ali.

How long it take to come in? And are you able to do some gpu test like 3dmark? I got a standard desktop 6600 I can run a test on.

I don't have 3dmark but I ran superposition. And for the time it took I made the purchase 12 of august and it came in 31 of august.

Question regarding drivers, do they just use standard mobile drivers to work?

I don't know if that benchmark will be different cause of my cpu being different. Is there anyway you can get timespy?

I don't think CPU matter that much on superposition since my friend with an 1230 v2 got almost the same score.
And yea, the drivers are the same. AMD doesn't have diff drivers for mobile or desktop cards.

Awesome. I'll set up superposition on my other rig and test it out.

Yes, that is indeed an awesome GPU mate.

If it wasn't for the fact that AMD has their new gpu's out around the corner, I would be buying these up for builds for any customers.

I wrapping my head around him having 24GB of RAM... just why?

lmao so it's exactly the same as a normal 6600, wonder how they did it even though it's limited to 100w

Yeah man. It's crazy how you can get that same performance for a 100w limit. This is extremely efficient GPU you got there. If it was easier to get (takes months for items to come from China to me), then I would definitely pick some up.

Honestly, it would be interesting if such companies in China whom I presume make laptops but have plenty of mgpu dies, make various GPU's of their own using these chips. Could actually help with the ever increasing power issues. I mean the next generation of chips. There will definitely be mobile variants of the RTX 4000 series of GPU's.

The most interesting thing about this card is that it has double the VRAM of the 6500XT and is probably faster too while consuming less power.

It's quite a difference

If that 6600 could run at the GPU frequency of the 6500XT it might rival a 6700 in performance. This could be the unicorn of this generation as the price/performance is ridiculous in the positive.

Kind of makes me want to get one and mount an AIO on the GPU.

It is possible make one, you just have to be very lucky and get the model that has a small pcb, obviously you will have to accept to lose the warranty and not be afraid to cut the heatsink and leave only one fan.
