In the run up to the November 3 reveal of the next-generation RDNA3 architecture, and with the 43% faster RTX 4090 mauling away its appeal to the enthusiast crowd, the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT got another round of price-cuts, and can be had for as low as $669. Prices are down on both sides of the big pond, with European retailers listing it for as low as 699€. Although not technically AMD's flagship graphics card, with the RX 6950 XT (starts at $869); the RX 6900 XT is a formidable 4K gaming graphics card with a high performance-per-Dollar at its new price (roughly 35% higher than the RTX 4090). AMD's latest round of official price-cuts happened around mid-September as the company was bracing for the RTX 4090 "Ada."

For those who wonder, models of RX 6900 XT have been offered for 699-729 for a good month now.

AMD is particularly good at announcing price cuts for products to their existing price tag

It's kind of weird, some models of 6900 XT are discounted, like Asus TUF and XFX and ASRock, but others still hang around in random 1000-1400 Eur price brackets over here in Europe, I don't really understand why that is. Are they already running out of stock? I thought they had way too many of them.

Here in Portugal we can barely get a RX 6800 (non XT) for that price.

Screenshots took this morning from a price comparison website, and it's ordered from cheapest.

You can buy from Amazon.de (or .es) and don't forget that VAT exists.

It's a pain to find good deals on Amazon. Their filtering and sorting is terrible...

thats a pretty stronk gpu

The Asus TUF RX 6900 XT is for sale in The Netherlands and Germany for around 729-739EUR :)

I can only assume AMD is making room in their line up for the upcoming RX 7800/7900 XT cards.. It looks like at least one of them will be a sub 1000EUR card.

Or maybe just irritate Nvidia until they have a product that can compete and be faster than the 4090 :D

Not really...Somewhat ironically (for being their almost top card), it's actually best suited for high refresh rate 1080p and 1440p gaming without RT:

That won't happen anytime soon, now that both will be on the same process...

Considering it's in the 3070 ti price bracket at the moment it kinda crushes 4k too.

It is a 2-year-old graphics card with around half the performance of the newly released RTX 4090.

Its real value is not higher than $400 and even then you must think a lot if there wouldn't be better offers starting with a new generation RX 7700 XT.

Meh! Don't buy it.

Current deal at mindfactory:

Caseking, ebay.de (via the official asus store) had them for around €700 within the last week or so.

Eh.. 12% slower than the top card for that generation for $400 bucks less. Not bad. Comparing it against a 4090, you're looking at close to a thousand dollar difference.

Ah yes, the eternal chase for 4K playable frames. Oh look, 4090 is 100% that's perfect frames.

Oh look its 2024 and you're back to sub 60 fps.

Come on man, I thought you had experience. No need to displace reality to echo Huang's marketing.

What the chart really shows is that at 4K, you can do anything from a 6800XT to a 3090ti and it'll be samey, or you can spend two kidneys on a 4090 instead for a mere 30% extra perf. Such value

To the guy with graphs:

I play 4k on RTX 2070 Super. Yeah, not always full everything or 60 fps, but works quite well and the price to upgrade is too high (EU) to justify the performance gain.

Yeah lol and there is a whole 10 games to play proper over the course of 2-3 years time. And most likely you've already seen them all... totally worth $1k+

Especially nice is the 42 FPS in Cyberpunk. The true token of a real 4K card. Game got released in 2020 :laugh:

Im almost tempted tbh. Finally some real movement in the market.

The scalpers are still lurking around? How about them to lower the price to 50% of a brand new card?
Who knows if that "second hand" actually works properly and how many mining hours it had been tortured.

Thanks but i don't want the same driver nightmare as Intel.

Let's not get full-on retarded here. AMD drivers have been good for quite a while.

Havent checked prices of new GPUs here in India but have seen posts of retailers selling used 3070Ti(barely 6 months old) for INR 34000(~$400) and 6700Xt for 24000(~$300).
