The way they can screw up the launch is by going back on their word.AMD has bought themselves a lot of rope. I don't doubt they'll find some way to hang themselves, but at least they'll look pretty while doing it.
They've been talking about better mainstream cards at more popular price points. They suggested 7900XT performance for the price of a 7800XT
That might end up being the vanilla 9070, but if that isn't $500 then people are going to feel lied to, and justifiably so.
