AMD Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT Official Performance Metrics Leaked, +42% 4K Performance Over Radeon RX 7900 GRE

I wouldn't say that. The XTX models weren't priced that well and sold out in no time as well, and that's with different market conditions.

the 7900xtx performance only proves the very high end or the TPU users are on a completely different universe. But there are no 7900xtx for the high end this time.

"AMD acknowledges it has yet to acquire the competitor's hardware for testing."

Of course it's a bad move, that's exactly why AMD is going to do it.
If they do it this time too, then they deserve to be wiped out of the GPU market.
If by the end of the year AMD doesn't have 30% share taking into account all the stupid shit Nvidia's been doing lately, I would categorize that as a major fail.

Way too low, amd needs to make money too
They won't make anything if they don't price aggressively to sell..but I'm saying xt for 650 non xt for 550...

Same die size and same old even cheaper GDDR6 memory 550-600$ for RX 9070 XT is the right price (the same profit as for RX 7800 XT)

So officially it will almost match 7900 xtx and 4080(s). I hope they learned something from the past and this time such a bold statement will be proven valid. Personally I wouldn't mind if it didn't match 5070 ti (well at least the version with full chip enabled:slap:), but after those claims 9070 xt must deliver what is promised.

Why the hell compare them to GRE and XT or XTX ?

Could be that AMD plans to release them at the same price point, which is $550.

If this is the price/performance, I am in, all the way in.

release them? so both cards will be 550?

If the performance is around the 5070 Ti I'll quite happily pay $650 for the XT, especially after the whole nvidia fake pricing farce, heck, this whole nvidia generation has been fake everything, by comparison (if the performance proves real), the AMD offerings look like a bargain.

They have always been fine at raster.

I want to know if their ray tracing cores are still abysmal, as I will want to play a lot of RT games over the next three years.

What claims? "It's designed to compete against the 50 series" is the only claim made. This is a leak, not a promise of anything.

So, 30-35% on average uplift in 1440p from a factory downclocked 7900GRE in a list of games AMD choose themself. I bet they was testing it without any overclocking. And factory downclocked 7900GRE in 1440p is a bit above 7800XT, maybe 10% difference. Well, not so bad, everything depends on price. If 5070Ti was available at MSRP AMD had no chances, but it costs more than $1000, so red team has a good chances.

Kinda what I expected to be honest. Close to the 7900XTX as a slightly lower retail launch

AMD stated they will no longer compete in the high end; well technically the 9070XT is AMDs new naming convention isn’t high end it’s their Mid Range

The comparison is described as official AMD data + the fact that AMD wasn't able to acquire a 5070 ti yet (the latter might be an irony, but still very suitable). Such data don't 'leak' without consent or security breach.

Why does people think that AMD will give these a good price?

Leaks? MLID? :D

You're just preparing yourself to get disappointed, and then you'll flood the internet with your feelings. I don't care for that.

Not that I know the price, but I know their launch day price history.

That's strange. What's an RT game? I usually like to play games with big boss fights, fast car chases, awesome music during high action scenes, lots of loot, fun puzzles to solve and great storylines. I hate the fact that Nvidia has convinced its customers that GPU features are more important than fun. Why not play fun games over the next three years? Isn't that the point?

What if 9070xt overclocks from 3.15GHz to 3.5GHz?
