AMD Releases Radeon Software Adrenalin 19.11.1 Drivers

Driver induced hardware failure? We are talking driver issue. Not that “OMG Massive Amount of Turing are dying left and right” piece again
It's probably more of the case that the founder edition GPUs are at fault. It may not be related, but the second GPU started failing after a driver update from what he told me. Correlation doesn't imply causation.

switching over to Turing from my old R9 was super smooth. Not a single problem. This is from someone who has NEVER used Nvidia GPU in my personal rig before my current 2080Ti

what “Lots of turing problem” are you referring to?

Never said there for lots, I said there were plenty for two generations of GPUs in their first year on the market. Here is what got fixed that made it into the release notes at all, up till this day. Might not be necessarily in time order. Couldn't be bothered to go back till 2016 tho... so there could possibly even more for Pascal, Hotfixes not even in the mix.

Now, you might or might have not run into troubles depending on when you had bought your card and whether or not you played problematic games or used problematic software. That does not mean there are no people with technical issues out there regarding Turing.

Turing fixes so far:
  • This driver improves the GeForce RTX 20 Series cards' power management when idle.
  • [Turing GPU][Photoshop CC]: Corruption occurs in the application after increasing the image size. [200428197]

Doesn't change the fact that their driver stack is just better.

Well their GPUs are much simpler so.... Oh and basically the same thing for the last 10 years too

You sure? I'd lost the driver options months ago with my main system with a Vega FE.

I've been adding this registry line for the last few months to correctly enable the gaming mode. (Only options i'm missing seems to be RIS)

Wow! Thanks so much. I did do a search on amd forums but didn't find that. I also tried to post but my post wouldn't post.

They are smaller, but not simpler. Intel is also D3D12/Vulkan 1.1/OpenGL 4.6 compatible.

Here are the release notes for Nvidia's latest Game Ready Driver version 441.12:

As with every released driver, version 441.08 WHQL of the Release 440 driver has open issues and enhancement requests associated with it. This section includes lists of issues that are either not fixed or not implemented in this version. Some problems listed may not have been thoroughly investigated and, in fact, may not be NVIDIA issues. Others may have workaround solutions.

Windows 10 Issues [Battlefield V][G-SYNC][HDR]: When G-SYNC and HDR are enabled, the game cannot be maximized to full-screen after being minimized to the taskbar. [200558314] [Grand Theft Auto V]: The game frequently crashes.

Does this mean Nvidia's Drivers are poor, No.
As Nvidia stated, Every released Driver has... issues.
This applies to both Nvidia & AMD
There are no perfect Drivers

Good, they just changed the default values of one of the extensions, could have been nice if they notified it somehow, instead of having to test each one to see which one was different.
