AMD today released the latest version of their Radeon Software Adrenalin drivers, guaranteeing the best possible experience for AMD GPU users. The latest driver revision introduces support for World War Z: Aftermath, and Amazon's New World MMORPG. Besides that initial game release support, the drivers also deliver an up to 13% performance improvement in Diablo II: Resurrected. This performance increase seems to solve a rendering bottleneck experienced with the RX 6700 XT graphics card at 4K resolution, with Very High settings enabled.

AMD also fixed four outstanding issues with this driver release. The CPU Additional Metrics section within the Performance tab should now show up for all users; compatibility error messages when trying to load a previously saved tuning profile should no longer appear; water should no longer spontaneously evaporate in Hitman III for RX 6000 series users; CPU Auto Overclock in Radeon Software should no longer be absent for users sporting an AMD 5000 series CPU alongside an RX 6000 series graphics card. Check after the break for the list of outstanding issues; as always, you can grab the drivers from the link below.

Known Issues
  • Open Broadcaster Software may continue to run in the background after a user ends a recording session and closes the application.
  • Driver timeouts may be experienced while playing a game & streaming a video simultaneously on some AMD Graphics products such as Radeon RX 500 Series Graphics.
  • AMD Radeon Software may crash or become unresponsive while playing some DirectX 11 games such as PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds with multiple displays connected in extended mode.
  • Playing Horizon Zero Dawn for an extended period may lead to a driver timeout or game crash on some AMD Graphics products such as Radeon RX 6700 XT.
  • Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations. Any users who may be experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround.
  • Radeon performance metrics and logging features may intermittently report extremely high and incorrect memory clock values.

I am interested in new worlds... but with no story... I dunno, I feel like its a game you can only enjoy with friends. meh

I suspect AMD still didn't fix the issue with a random timeout occurring when using a browser and multitasking.

drop your max clocks by 100mhz, if the problem goes away, rma.

This was long after I went back to stock and in fact, I lost the custom VBIOS! I had it on a USB drive.

There's a good chance that you will come across the issue, if using a Chromium browser. Possibly others, maybe Discord as well and then possibly even after closing it, until you reboot!

I also a while ago, had the "relentless-game-lagging-until-I-reboot-syndrome".

Hardware acceleration?
I never saw that issue with gaming. Much more likely with a low load! I wonder if there's an interaction with Chromium's hardware acceleration.

Problems with a "custom VBIOS"? Oh, that must be AMD's fault. :wtf:

1 more week to go to test these New World optimizations.

I had the stock VBIOS for months now. That was right before I wiped the install from May 25th. Now I'm miffed that I can't find the custom VBIOS now!
