Damn that 1080 looks tiny in this one.. it also benches better than in the C TG. Like 7C lower temp. Wtf! All I added was bottom fan intake, rest of cooling is identical.

So yeah, TG and smaller atx... never again clearly.

The 'before' snapshot :) 30-36 FPS in TW WH3, capped VRAM at 8GB... Textures at High puts me at 6.5-7GB, but only gains 1-2 FPS.

Quite close to my Vega 64 performance, I think you will like it, it spanks every old game you own bar very very recent Nvidia Specials, and even those can be run very well in reality.

I have mine 7900XTX since two weeks.
It's a damn good water cooled ASRock Aqua model.
Clocks above 3.2GHz in games without EVC.

Had already lot of advanture with it. :p
Spilled liquid on it while changing thermal past and thought it was dead as it started giving Blue screens/Black screens. :fear:

Then washed it with Isopropanol and dried it for 2 days.
Now it is working fine and kicking again lot of performance.:peace:

What kind of temps you get min max values during hour of gaming within hwinfo ? been noticing vram runs quite a lot hotter then i am used to for my liquid devil 7900 XTX compared to my reference 6900 XT with waterblock

I played yesterday 3 hours of Far Cry 6.
GPU Temperatur was in range of 40°C max and Hot Spot range of 62°C max.

The VRAM runs hot.
At idle I see temperatures of 48°C without OC.
Max I have seen in range of 75°C.

I might need that new CPU after all :D

Darktide max settings no FSR in the player hub now ticks at 80-100 FPS... another multiplier of 2,5x but with maxed instead of tweaked settings. With DXR Raytracing... the game's a horrible mess to look at for some mildly reflective surfaces... and FPS gets sliced back to 1080 level. Insta disable, só not worth it.

Tweaked fan curve to cap out at 65% and the card is inaudible over the rest of the PC.
Shit's good... the card feels built like a tank, too, no flex or bend on any place of the shroud.

Support bracket was free btw. Somehow LEGO always a perfect fit.. I glued the block to the HDD tray :D A red one, ofc.

Glad you like your new bigger case. I honestly never understood the tiny case stuff, like seriously think about it for a second, 99% of people that have tiny cases still just leave them sitting on their desk... seriously you couldn't just make it a little taller? It's not like you use that space anyway... lol

This is the older case in fact. 4th system I built in it now. But agree, small is pointless ... unless you want something for under the TV..

Same as me then usually hit max 60c highest if seen is 64c but if seen my hotspot go 88c once when for some reason fancontrol bugged put fans at 700 rpm instead of 2200 rpm my delta between gpu edge and hotspot seems be 30c and i run 10c hotter cos my case ambient is really hot usually :D i need to go external :D

Also occt 3d shader complexity 8 seems to run the hottest while furmark only pushes 64c somehow atleast this morning when it was 18c in my room but usually my case temp ambient temp is about 10c higher which really shows when its 22c in my room

Anyway im running on unleashed bios altho if not tested if i run cooler yet on oc bios that runs lower clocks

You run pretty hot then, I cap out at 75C hotspot with 1050mV cap and -10% tbp, 80C if I pull 318W continuously (100% tbp) but the FPS gain is minimal and clocks can run 2650Mhz just the same as with undervolt..

That definitely points at you needing better airflow, or less power.

Just tested today short test and made about 3-5c difference on oc bios thats just at stock btw if i do -10% i get much less on temps i think if seen it cap around 66 70c on -10% i have to verify i wonder if i should tighten the screws around the core see if it helps since my void warranty sticker is not on those screws, i think there is plenty enough thermal paste probably debauer removed cooler of he's and it was a lot of thermal paste.

I do :D

Found my OC settings in the meantime. 2750mhz VRAM, 0% power limit, let the gpu clock do its thing, Core voltage at 1000, 1050 wasn't needed. Above 2500 it'll eat away at VRAM clocks for me.
Temps are sweet, after long sessions at 100% load the highest I see is 84C hot spot temps, and the delta between it and edge temps is about 17C. Sufficient headroom for summer :)

Here's Metro Exodus 3440x1440 native Extreme (RT as well). This card is beastly. Damn

With those temps I would definitely not fiddle with it. Its fine you don't stand to gain a thing there. GPUs dont mind to be drowned in thermal paste, its not like CPUs.

Old 6900 XT 55c hotspot at +15% power limit which bassicly 300w in cold winter peek 70c maybe 66c at 270w
New liquid devil at 300w total board 55 to 60 maybe 64c peek at 360 70c hotspot maybe 72-74 at 410 total board power 75 to 82c hotspot, so i think my cooling capacity of my triple radiator is just low probably cos top radiator is full of air used be with single radiator and a gtx 480 it would exhaust 36c into the room which was a card that could hit 55c edge super clocked card that probably would have hotspot of 80 to 90c cos it does not have the die exposed like these days.

Also a 7900 XT at stock is a 315w total board power reference 7900 XTX is 355 liquid devil is bassicly 410w total board power at both unleashed and oc so that explains my higher temps altho i still do not like it it feels like its normal, i just wish more people could share data at similar power limits perhaps.

Pretty satisfied but still little woried i run little bit hotter, seems if i run my usual fan profile that is very silent i gain +5 to 10c on all temps so im sure my loop is thermally limited, my webshop did not like it at all gave me hard time when i asked about void warranty sticker that technically not legal, but appearntly powercolor can enforce it and force webshop to be responsible for warranty so kind of feel bad for my webshop having to deal with that, probably not gonna repaste or do anything.

Yeah, the only game I care about with RT is this one, and it's the only game I play with RT enabled, and it's the first and only RT only game I'd played after I'd installed my RX 7900 XTX in my main rig. I tried it with basically my 2nd rig - 3900X + 32GB RAM (was 16GB then IIRC) + Nitro+ RX 6900 XT - and it wasn't fun at all, framerate hovered around 40fps+ with dips in low 30s. With more or less same setting, the RX 7900 XTX improved RT performance shines, with enclosed areas and open areas between ~100fps to 70fps+. It was quite playable and I played the main game + 2 expansions as well. Hoping for more adventures with Artyom and his rag-tag squad....

Daaaaaammmmmn, dude, I feel for ya....so, the mobo died due to....static electricity?
No static electricity it's on cardboard. I've never had a problem with static was built my PC on the carpet.

Maybe a false alarm I tried it one last time and it turned on and booted I don't know what the problem was. I'm using a different power supply for this

I took the cpu cooler and the gpu out and hit the power button and saw smoke coming from the vrm area. my gpu some how killed my mother board
Really sorry to hear about your misfortune :(

But it's impossible for a graphics card to cook the motherboard's VRMs. If anything, the mobo's inadequate build quality, or the lack of BIOS safeguards would be to blame. Neither of which should be the case with your X570 TUF.

Did you say you turned on the PC without a CPU cooler attached? I hope it was just an oversight, but then the computer should shut down immediately after powering up, preventing possible damage to the CPU.

Also, that last photo. I know you were trying to troubleshoot here, but make sure there's proper contact between the processor and the cooler.

Hope everything works out in the end.

The tests without the CPU cooler only lasted a few seconds I know It can damage the CPU but in the end the CPU is fine. I will put the CPU cooler back on now that I know it works. It could be my main power supply that caused it to not turn on.

The PC is working now but the lan and wifi is not working.
