Wish I had space for something like the Red Devil. Only real downside of ITX.
I’ve always wanted to do an awesome ITX build. The most ideal cases are so small and cool it would be hard!!

Yeah i got banned on Apex legends. I submitted an appeal and got unbanned.
Sheeesh I better turn that off lol.

The Lian Li/Dan C4-SFX is my ideal, but they ran through the production run. That and it's hard to justify spending like $200 to move from a tiny black rectangular box to a slightly larger but better-laid-out-for-airflow rectangular box.

I ordered this Limited Edition on launch day just before it went out of stock. Love it. Runs very cool! Just need some custom cabling and another fan! I also need to remember to turn off “Live” photos. So grainy!

Looks cool. :) Though I'm wondering, what makes it limited besides the production number?

This £50 Kolink case is the best airflow case I've ever had. And I've had some expensive Corsair show cases, Aerocool and Coolermaster, too. I've learned through the last 5-10 years that money doesn't equal airflow.

I think it’s just the accessories, coin, box, etc. maybe a higher binned model. Idk it just looked cool lol.

I just plumbed up a 7900XTX Aqua, pic below is in process. I cleaned the cpu block and ran a cleaning flush then filled it up with 9:1 distilled to auto coolant. Crosses fingers that the dual thin 480 rads can handle the heat load.

I'm very tempted on joining the RDNA3 club, if anything because there's a cashback deal going on which'd make a Sapphire Pulse 7900XTX go for the same price as a XFX Merc 7900XT around here (and some BRL 2000 less than a 4080 under the same deal).
I know it would be hampered by my 5600X (will get a 5800X3D someday), and I also know it's vastly overkill for my 16:9 1440p. But it's soooo tempting...

Don't get me started on power, I almost worry for my EVGA 750GQ.

By the way, how well does the XTX undervolts/underpowers without losing too much?

I'm using mine under linux so I haven't installed the tool(s) to do any under-volting/power limiting yet, but I think I remember reading that the performance hit is greater on RDNA3 than it is with Ada when power limiting.

I think you'd still see quite a bit of a performance increase over your 3070 even if you did limit to ~300 watts.

Considering I am dual booting Fedora also... what tools you have in mind? Afaik there are none that allow fiddle with voltages, RAM speed etc... there is only one tool setting your frequency curve to max... within stock envelope of course... basically RDNA3 performs worse in linux just because of that. Rumors are going around that AMD will release some tool for Linux users. As I am on water it really maters for me... as I can go YOLO high in power department without any worries about temps etc.

@faye @Super Firm Tofu @AusWolf Bit the bullet. It should arrive by Nov 10th at the latest.
Thank y'all for giving me the final push on something I was already mind set on doing :p

PS: I must strengthen my resolve for when it arrives, because I'll need to install a third PCIe 8-pin cable in an already very cluttered case...

I solved that problem by removing the secondary 4-pin CPU power cable. The 7800X3D is so frugal with power that it doesn't need it anyway. :D

Welcome to the club. You will get that smile all 7000s users get the first time they play a Game. They removed some of the accoutrements in the latest driver that let you monitor things like Frame time and Lag in real time.

Oh yes, and AntiLag+. So for non-competitive gamers who want to use AntiLag+, I recommend using 23.10.1, not anything newer.

I'm glad both to be back to Team Radeon (my first dGPU was an HD4350, so there's sentimental value with the brand) and to get my first flagship card ever.
As I don't play anything competitive, I guess I don't need to worry of getting banned due to FMF, but I am also of the opinion of not using crutches (DLSS/FSR) unless critical. Let my frames be pure.

I agree, although AntiLag and AntiLag+ are not crutches. They limit the number of queued frames in the graphics pipeline so that there's minimal delay between user input and game response. Their operation is slightly different, and AntiLag+ is only supported by RX 7000 series - I'm not really sure about the specifics.

When you get the card install the Adrenline suite, Go to the Performance tab, click on the Tuning sub menu, Click on Custom on your GPU, Click the Undervolt and once done click the Overclock button and once done enjoy the hell out of the raster performance AMD has achieved with RDNA.Older Games like Shadow of War or KOA will be sweet at your monitor's refresh rate.

I prefer leaving it at stock. Or dragging down the power slider to -10% which results in about 3-5% lower performance at MUCH lower heat and noise production. :)

I know, I'm lazy. :D
