So ….. my serious ADD got the best of me yesterday and I got distracted from the issue at hand as it was my family's last day in quarantine after my daughter returned from Italy a couple of weeks ago. However, it kept bugging me that I didn't really know what brand was my card. The EBay listing said "Biostar". A review of the pictures of the Biostar RX580 on this site strongly suggested that I do not have a Biostar. So, I started searching every single number that was anywhere on the card. Finally, in google images - jackpot - keywords "arp20-8 rx580" - arp20-8 was the number on the bottom left corner of the PCB viewed from the fan side. Picture is attached - you can see part of the ARP208 on the bottom left. It is identical in appearance to my card (other than the stickers reading "Nienda") but when the caption with the picture was Radeon HD4250, my heart sank. Looking up Radeon HD4250 showed that my card could not possibly be that one. Clicking on the picture brought me to the website www.1688.com but not to the page with the picture. I searched "RX580" and none of the cards were quite like the one in the picture attached. So, the mystery remains. I will contact the seller and ask if they can shed some light on this. Stay tuned … Hopefully, I am not the first person to get fooled by the description on EBay.

Looks remarkably like a Yestoon RX580.

 Nienda apparently exists.

Someone asked about an R7 350 on AMD's website in Russian:
Good day . R7 350 graphics card for sale under the NIENDA and KINOLOGY brands. Is it a fake? I can not find any information on the cooperation of AMD and these companies.
No replies.

I think, for sure, this is not an AIB signed with AMD which means no support of any kind. I would get a refund ASAP.

Yes, thank you. I meticulously looked at everyone of them yesterday trying to find a shroud that looks the same. No luck. So, the picture that i posted, as I mentioned, is identical, right down to the view of the heat sink below the fan blades.

Hello, LeChat. Check your Private Messages (Conversations). I hope that information will help you.

I would like to thank all who have responded for their help and, in particular, Riknow. Last night, I finally got up the nerve to try the steps provided to me by Riknor in a PM and ... success!! Other than I now have an old driver (19.12.1) the card is working well with no issues (dare I say it - so far). Again, thanks to all who devoted some time to help.

Is that something that can be shared so others that encounter the issue in the future can fix it themselves?

FordGT90Concept, I should think that it can be posted (I am working on a document that incorporates everything that Riknor provided to me so that I can use it in the future when I install the second RX580 that I purchases on another computer. However, since he provided the information to me in a PM, I thought I should ask him if he would mind it being shared. Stay tuned!

something fishy is going on here.

There are lots of "fake" GPUs on ebay. All the best. I would suggest, you verify the card you have is INDEED the one you are looking for.
Your listing says its mining specific, that might be an issue too if you plan on gaming, although i think the mining ones did not have any jacks on the back of the card to plug in your monitor.

de.das.dude. Thanks. That was (is) my fear. I assume that you went to the link to where I bought it. It shows that there are 1 HDMI and 3 Display Port jacks and 1 DVI-D dual link jack. Here is the link again in case you missed it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/AMD-Radeon-RX-580-8GB-DDR5-DirectX-Gaming-Mining-GPU/352980173258?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 . When I purchased, the listing said more than 100 available (you have to scroll down to the further information). The listing has now ended and I suspect that it was because I wrote them advising that their listing had incorrect information, calling it a "Biostar RX580" and I pointed to a photo that I found on Bing Images which was from a website 1688.com (I think that this is the Chinese version of Alibaba.com). I included the picture and referenced this above. The picture is of an identical unit (other than the stickers on the fans that idenitified the card as "Nienda"). I didn't expect one and I didn't get a response. Checking today on their EBay store, they have nothing for sale at all in their store, let alone this card.

However, the card does appear to be "somewhat genuine". I looked at the following page for some clues as to how to spot a fake - https://graphicscardhub.com/chinese-fake-graphics-card/. The specs on TechpowerUp are listed at https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/radeon-rx-580.c2938. Attached is the GPU-Z screenshots of the first 2 tabs of my card - the Sensors one is after running Furmark stress test. On the first page, the specs match what the specs page on TechPowerUp show. On the second page, showing the maximum result realized for each sensor, a number of the readings are what is expected (e.g. the GPU clock (1340 MHz for an overclocked board) and Memory Clock (1950 MHz - which is 50 MHz less than what is noted on the website)), however, the GPU Chip Power draw of 4,196,645 W should have blown every breaker in the neighbourhood.

The readings that trouble me the most are the 3 memory readings. This board is supposed to have 8GB of onboard memory. I assume that the Memory Used (Dedicated) and Memory Used (Dynamic) are onboard memory and, combined, they didn't go over 1,539 MB. The maximum system memory used however, shows as 10,924 MB. Perhaps there is some explanation for this. I feel somewhat less concerned though, when I look at the Performance tab in Task Manager which is attached. As you can see, Windows thinks that there is 8GB of Dedicated GPU memory available. So, issue settled unless there is a way to fool Windows into thinking that there is more memory than actual. So, I am going to assume that I have a Nienda RX580 OC 8GB board.

Thanks again for your inquiry and enjoying the rest of the weekend.

Good evening folks. Riknor has responded and has confirmed that I may post his instructions as complied by me (if there are any errors in the transcription, they are solely my responsibility). I truly hope that these instructions will help many people and that they are spared the Windows killing experience that I had. Link to document is below.

Good morning and Happy (not so) new year. I appreciate that this is an old thread but some new developments to report.

I have updated the Riknor guide posted above and it is attached.

In yesterday's update Tuesday, even though I prevented the automatic update of drivers, Windows 10 saw fit to install an updated AMD driver but, not the very latest, it would appear. I attach a screenshot of the information from Device Manager. I am happy to report that my system is still stable and I don't know if that means we can now use this driver as the latest stable one for AMD cards in Windows 10 but perhaps time will tell.

Finally, an updated screenshot of the GPU-Z output.
