AMD Ryzen 5 3500 to Lack SMT, Takes on Core i5-9400

It's still better...Enthusiasts sometimes don't care...sometimes it's fanboi=ism sometimes it's ignorance and sometimes the best is the best....even if under the most retarded circumstances...such as low end cpu's

I can't wait for Ryzen 4000's...I hope they match my CPU by then so I know for sure when I have another 2 years of good performance.

I am at heart an AMD fanboi...I have built 4 Ryzen systems and have loved them all...I'm quite positive I'll be building a 3500 or 3600 Ryzen sometime...maybe in February when I'll be able to the 3600 for like $169.99 with $30 combo at MicroCenter (it's only $10 less than current price because of the $50 combo discount on the R 3000's) Because that's an attractive price to me.

Id like to but my living situation prevents me from having my rig hooked up.

I hope that improves and I'm sure you heard about your Bulldozer CPU... You can get a $35 rebate for false advertisement.

Im not worried about that, its from 2012 tech, got in 2014, OCd to 5.0 across all cores/modules, its a shared resource design.

Next step is Threadripper dual socket if possible

without SMT looks like a useless product. Maybe priced in i3 range would make a big enough impact.

Not to mention how many OEMs might buy for pre-built desktops. Everyone treats CPU releases like the greatest possible market is nerds on Newegg but that’s not the case, just a condition of being in a tech forum.
I kinda laughed too hard on this LMAO, but true.

Far from it being a useless product

Do I smell hurt 8400 and 9400 owners?
I hope they price it cheap, it would give a great option for new desktop PCs.

mate... you're running a 6 core i5 with no SMT. What the actual fuck?

I own only a laptop at the moment and for 120€ used this was the best I could get. Sorry if I offended you in any way, mate.

He's 0€3u+$
Are you having a stroke? lol

I love AMD and I feel it really needs to compete right now, and this is not the product I would expect for them to have. This looks more like an Intel move than AMD.
These are only my expectations I am expressing.

Clearly you lack understanding of the market, if this didn't lack SMT? It'd essentially be a 3600 making it completely pointless, the 3600 does not compete with the 9400 or other locked low end intel parts.
