So, if you bought a top-notch GPU for 1K or more would you pair it with any mιdrange CPU or one of the best ones in order to keep it for at least another GPU upgrade to not bottleneck it? I know that is consindered a problem to solve for less than 10% of PC onwners but in this enthusiast forum such topics aren't about elitism I think. As far as I am concerned, I always go for the best vfm when purchasing PC hardware since I don't earn my food using my PC.

Well, even a Zen 3 non X3D seems to be very close to a 9800X3D in 4K with a 4090 looking at the charts, also 12/13th gen Intel.

The point of all this was gaming in 1080p with a 4090 which is nonsense for most people.

I tend to think a bit forward when buying hardware. You are good with the present. Totally different aspect about the topic. We disagree. No point in further discussion. :toast:

Of course, buying a new system today then go 9800X3D for gaming.

Anyone know what's up with Afterburner/Rivatuner development? Unwinder who develop this has closed his thread over at guru3d forum, after some german dudes said something he did not like, he closed the whole thread.

Do he still work on this?

AMD bad, Intel good!!!

I can only see 2 programs not working properly as metrics, probably just a bug or interfering with each other trying to access the same resource to report.
As you can see from the benchmark, they are preventing it from even reporting what percentage the GPU is loaded at.
*CapFrameX records during the benchmark..

Hi guys.

Anybody knows what could be the maximum output resolution for the iGPU is?

I am planing to build a PC with this CPU and use it with GeForce NOW. I have also acquired a Samsung Odyssey Neo which is a super ultra wide 32:9 aspect ratio double 4k monitor at 240hz.

I am not expecting to operate the monitor at such frequency with the CPU's iGPU but I would love to know if it can produce frames at 32:9 aspect ratio and double 4k resolution.

Thanks for any help.

my 9800x3d supports 4k 120hz 10 bit signal using x670e strix I itx motherboard. Vs 9900ks only 4k 60 hz.

Hi, is there anyone here who has switched from a 14900k system to a 9800x3d and games @ 1440p?

I only play pubg @ 1440p
But I am finding it really hard to find any real solid comparisons of 14900k vs 9800x3d @ 1440p for pubg specifically. PUBG is heavily reliant on the CPU. Most reviewer's out there, have tested plenty of other games at 1440p, and at this resolution it seems the 9800x3d is only 5% faster overall.

If I was gaming @ 1080p, then it would be a no brainer to switch to the 9800x3d, because there seems to be a much larger performance gap there. But I would like more comparison or info @ 1440p between 14900k and 9800x3d in pubg.

Are you planning on getting the 5090?

If the 50% delta is accurate over predecessor in this review then the 1080p data can be extrapolated for 1440p rough estimate.
Hi,

Thanks for the message, but would you be able to explain that to me like im a 2 yr old. Lol

Hopefully You weren't too nauty so that Santa Clause Huang has available stock for you to purchase. Although you can always rely on the Grinch scalpers if you are willing to test your desperation. ;)

Well yes i went through this issue with the 4090s. Well aware of it.

I don't need to and won't give into the scalpers, i'll happily wait until I can secure one.

Thanks for your testing, TPU has always been my preferred source in any field, but for CPU testing, Game Settings why use Ultra, especially e-sports games, frame rate first! I have a request to use the minimum Settings for all video games, such as CS 2.

In an environment where overclocking is so common, why test at the default frequency?
