That article is hilarious for the number of times it mentions raytracing... iGPUs can barely achieve playable framerates as-is, nobody in their right mind is going to try using RT on them.
Even if we imagine a game as well optimized as Doom Eternal regarding rasterization fps performance / requirements and a raytracing implementation that is light (Doom Eternal raytracing is not exactly light as it cuts the performance in half in 1080p/1440p if I'm not mistaken) and then a FSR implementation that is good and we use FSR quality (1080p output, 720p internal) and the game is turn based strategy or narrative based adventure or whatever so 30fps is just fine for this type of game then i guess in this situation it make sense to have raytracing enabled, now we just have to find this game...

Curous.
Although, "45W TDP" Ryzen going well into 80W territory, nice trick, AMD. :)))

FYR
The 12900HK is a "45W" chip in Intel's spec sheet.
The 6900HS is a "35W" chip in AMD spec sheet

However, the 6900HS wins twice when both CPUs are capped in 45W and 35W settings.

I like the idea of moving forward with the APUs. I was always skeptic about APUs when playing on them. But, some time back I bought a laptop with the APU, I think it was a 3400G.
I even got the chance to play on it and to my surprise, I was able to play the Strange Brigade, CS:GO easily.
I'm looking forward to this new one. I really admire the light gaming possibility without your hands burning due to laptop's temperature. I only hope it will be faster by quite a bit and stays cool.
I really dont want the opportunity to boil water on my laptop while playing.

Why dont anyone tell the consumer that the 6000 Series for Mobiles have Microsoft Pluton integrated? ;)

Its a great feature now u have in any CPU, Microsoft too integrated.

It wasnt enough for Microsoft to spoof the consumer with the OS and Online Account and now u get what u deserved, Microsoft on Hardware Level.:D

Good, I'll be enjoying Linux user tears. I wouldn't have had a problem with them if they weren't the most vile community on earth. Can't wait for Pluton on Zen 4 and Raptor Lake.

I really wished they kept ddr4 support and could bring this to AM4, it could have been the true swan song for the platform instead of the 5800X3D that is looking to be mostly disappointing. I know i know, AM4 had a good run, but a person can always dream.

It will be interesting to see what AM5 launches with, there's little information on how the line up will look like but there's a lot of talk about Zen 4 having some compute units either in the IO die or some chiplet and APUs are destined to move to a modular design instead of the current monolithic dies, with how long it will take for something like this to come to the desktop AM5 is anyones guess, there may be no reason to, after all it's zen3+ and not zen4, why adapt it to fit into the AM5 platform when they can move forward with whatever plans they have for future APUs? (only reason I can see is prebuilts that certainly want new material to market asap)
Imo ddr4 would heavily impact the performance of the igpu. And the new standard fit very well with the power efficiency narrative, ddr5 and lpddr5 are more power efficient than ddr4
