The leaks and details regarding AMD's Ryzen processors just don't seem to - and really won't - stop these days. Now, it's the enclosing piece of cardboard in which these processors will ship that's made the rounds, and AMD seems to have continued with an understated look to its overall box design.

The box art was posted through a listing of AMD's upcoming Ryzen processors on a Thailand-based retail outlet, alongside pre-order pricing (which seems to carry a slight premium (for example: a Ryzen 7 1800X is listed at 18,790 Baht, which would roughly amount to $537, a little higher than the reported $499). But a picture is worth a thousand words, and as such, I'll just leave you with those.

While posting this, my mind concocted an image of Brad Pitt screaming "what's in the box" towards a smiling, mischievous Lisa Su.

Maybe I should stop posting for today, but I just felt like sharing

AMD reddit has debunked this. They say it is a pretty good PS though.

This has gone to a level of retard I cant even fathom. Whats next the instruction/installation booklet leaks ?

Buying V day stuff?

It looks pretty damn good. Intel better worry. They will lose every single consumer that buys CPUs based on the box art.

Personally I'm very interested in the real cooler design, after that (amazing) fake image. It would be cool to have a good looking stock cooler.

Does it look like the cheap dildo site you frequent then for you to be getting confused between them? :nutkick::toast::roll:

Doesn't look intrusive.

Honestly. I'm not as much concerned about the box itself but what will I find inside and how it will perform :) I'm really thrilled about the possibility to get back to AMD with a decent performance :D

I can't wait to see these in action. ATM I have a 2nd gen i5. If the performance is right, I might soon switch to smth new. :D

When I'm switching definitely the only question is when exactly :)

Hopefully soon. I can't wait. But the price differences, at least what has been leaked are a little small. I might switch from 4C/4T to 6C/12T. I mean the more, the better, because of a longer future ahead. I want to see how they OC honestly. I didn't like the limited OC of the RX cards, and if they prove to be unable, then I might rethink it. Maybe wait till the architecture is a bit more mature.

I would love to have a 24/7 5GHz chip.

Should be able to. My Vishera was a struggle getting to 5.0GHz on air lol

I feel you. A friend of mine could not get the 8350 stable to more than 4.2GHz. It was the stupidest stuff ever. Problem is we both had the same mobo, some ASUS 970 with very limited OC. Well he sold his parts so that does not matter anymore.

Somehow there's always problem reaching or even surpassing 5Ghz. Well i'm also talking about 5Ghz with reasonable Vcore etc. not like extreme OC. Would be nice to get to use that frequency daily. Wonder if the time will at some point let us set the cpu to that frequency. Although I can see that this is a problem.

I'm using a 990FX board which are better Ocers on air, 970s need additional cooling to push further because of power phases are less. I'm pretty sure I can get further on water but it's not worth it since the wife is getting the guts anyway.
