AMD's Upcoming RX Vega Card Pictures Surface

This is a few days old already, and the title is a bit clickbait honestly

Will there be more price drops on the 1080 and the 1080ti when this comes out when ever that may be.

Only if Vega perform and priced too bad for Nvidia's comfort

I wont think the ti will but maybe a high end 1080 will, I badly need a upgrade

That's not a Surface. That's a laptop. Jesus @Raevenlord get your S#!T straight.

From what I have heard he is correct.

Heard what? That it's a complete redesign and the only real similarity to GCN is the number of SPs?

Please, continue with the nvidia circlejerk.

LOL yeah and he acts like that wouldn't be impressive!

Furthermore, tt isn't just "2 x 470" either. It is rumored to be clocked ~35% faster, and it will have over double the bandwidth of the 470. Not to mention it is a completely new architecture for the first time in half a decade.

On paper it is at a minimum 2.5 - 3 x the 470.

That is, unless you consider the 1080 Ti just "2 x the 780 Ti".

It will be ok. Not impressive.

That's it. When losing a debate you call or accuse a person of something to delegitimize the argument. How very liberal of you.

Just so you know I probably will be buying a Vega due to my monitor. I would like to give freesync a try. But, by all means accuse me of joining some fictitious "nvidia circlejerk" because you apparently love brand names over facts.

Lol, and you try to play the victim card after spouting BS. Bravo. Double down, why not?

If you wanted to sound like a reasonable fool, you would have called it a tweaked Fury X.

If you say so. Seems like the more you respond, the more you prove my point.

Lets address the card and not so much each others opinions on how we perceive each other.

Wasn't early card demonstrated achieving 75 FPS average @4K Ultra in Doom ... we need to assume that's the best case scenario for AMD and extrapolate it to be in the middle of 1080 and 1080Ti

A screen cap of a screen cap...

Could care less what the stock card looks like. Always wait for better non reference cooling solutions for AMD cards!

I think waiting Vega before upgrade graphic card is smart.
Maybe AMD force NVIDIA to launch full chip later after Vega show up or at least to correct price.

So when does it get's released?

Don't dream about this being faster or close to 1080Ti. It is between 1070-1080 levels which sincerely is very weak given that the wait was soooo long. AMD surely realizes the fact that this entire year during which they didn't really had a direct competitor for GTX1070/GTX1080/Titan X nVidia has sold tons of those cards. The name of the game in the chip business is to always be at the top, no matter what. NVIDIAs CEO seems to know that but Raja is either unaware of this or doesn't have the resources/talent to handle this battle.

I will be buying this only if it will give good 1440p/4K performance, I am still using R2 920x at 1200p and I am not complaining especially with AA turned down.
