AMD's Upcoming Ryzen Chips to Reportedly Overclock @ 5 GHz On Air

I like you guys. Y'all got moxy. I'm sure this time will be different. I'm sure AMD with It's vastly smaller resources is gonna beat the big bad Intel. It will be a technology style David and Goliath.

A story for the ages indeed.....lol
I can get 5ghz all cores gaming not folding stable ,out of mine on air so long as said air cooler is massive and top notch so on the one hand entirely feasible to me but likely to require a good chip either way.
Also said air cooler ,what's it ,OEM or bad ass flat out crazy one it matters so much ,only time will tell.
The rumour mill suggests Intel is sitting on nothing special until they re-archetect x86.

wait what's me?
The post from Reddit earlier in this thread:
While I don't know who the user is, everyone seems to trust him. So I think it's worth mentioning:

I don't have a Zen but I know people who do.

I continue to stand by my comment about 5G not happening on air without too much voltage. This doesn't disprove the statement of ZenOC@Air=5G however I wouldn't get your hopes up because we don't know how many cores or volts actually managed that clock. (my sources never gave me absolute max clock just that it does about X.X for daily use)

For all those wondering about X.X. Well lets just say that I am pleased with X.X.

If that isn't you, that nickname is more popular than I thought

Why could nobody to know ,-)?

Is anyone going to update this? Even wccftech didn't post it until now, b/c it was TOO clickbait even by their standards. That's embarrassing lol

Seems to be a common theme as of late. It's not just embarrassing, it's sad.

Some are saying that the 3.9 boost is an all core boost.

And next stepping is rumored at 4.

I guess intel better get out their checkbooks.

I just hope the bugs that Canard PC said were in the uOP cache and something else are hammered out. Looks like Jim Keller is going to deliver once again for AMD.
