Its not that bad in Requiem to be fair the english, it wasn't really cringy. The only cringe part was of course is because they were trying to show Zeon soldiers thinking they are the "good" guys when we know both Zeon and Earth federation are doing bad stuff to try and win the war. The only exception is Zeon dropping a colony which is what makes them the bigger bad guys.

Just got done with gate.

Its good if not a little rushed compared to the manga. The manga fleshed out the characters, their stories and the story itself little more.

Got done with the first season of Neflix - Ultraman. Animation was janky but the story was decent. I skimmed the second and jumped ahead to the third after reading the show went down hill after the first show and decided not to continue. The animation did improve though.

Next up... Unfinished business. Yowamushi pedal season 5 :laugh:

Netflix ultraman show was decent overall in my opinion.

Got done with "Garo - The Animation" - It sits in the same vein as Claymore and D.Gray-man. More D.Gray-man but not as deep or in depth.

I hated the ending of D.Gray-man but I found the ending of Garo more acceptable because it tied up the story by giving closure rather than doing a D.Gray-man which turned the entire show until the finale into a super long filler episode. ShinsenSubs literally died subbing D.Gray-man. What a terrible send off it was for them.

Garo is like a watered down diet coke of D.Gray-man. There were definitely more fun moments in D.Gray-man. Garo had some fun moments too. The show wants to go down some fun character building side quest (and there were a few...) but it always gets pulled back on course by the plot.
