I like my seagates, but the (in)famous 7200.11 had firmware issues, and only the ones made in china, 1 320GB and another 500GB died, but i have had more, mostly 500GB ones...

Apple bought Seagate because they are cheaper than WD...

The price differences are usually <= 10 euro, but still that can mean a lot on a large scale.

people still bashing apple as if it is their fault the seagate drives are crap. maybe they need captain hindsight to come in and inform them that seagate is garbage.

anyway, look at how apple took the initiative and has extended warranties and their no questions asked policy. i would love to see samsung do that or sony. NOT GONNA HAPPEN!
