ARCTIC Thermal Pad bridges problem-free even large spaces. After multiple awards with its thermal pastes, ARCTIC is now offering thermal pads as well. As perfect gap filler the Thermal Pad provides an optimal heat transfer and bridges even large height differences and uneven surfaces.

Often it is troublesome to cool diverse components like memory chips, CPUs, MCUs, DSPs and other ICs densely packed. Different heights prevent a proper contact to the heatsink and thus make it useless. The thermal pad is perfect to close even large spaces completely. Due to its low hardness this silicon pad adapts ideally to uneven surfaces, also at low pressure and thus ensures the best possible heat dissipation. In the comparison test the Thermal Pad with its special filler and a high thermal conductivity can demonstrate its performance and leaves the competitors behind.

That's maximum performance at a minimum effort, since the installation of the Thermal Pad is child's play - perfect for beginners. It does not contain any metallic particles, is electrically isolating and not capacitive. The handling is safe as contact with any electrical trace would not result in damage of any sort.

QUICK FACTS Thermal Pad High Performance Gap Filler
  • Electrically non-conductive
  • Thermal conductivity 6.0 W/mK
  • Safe and easy handling
  • Measures:
    o 50 x 50 x 0,5 mm | x 1 mm | x 1.5 mm
    o 145 x 145 x 0,5 mm | x 1 mm | x 1.5 mm
The Thermal Pad is now available starting at a price of US $4.99 on Amazon.

Nice to have an affordable alternative.

Nice to have an affordable alternative.

Wasn't there affordable alternative before with Ebay? I know I have ordered some pads I can cut to shape from Hong Kong :)

Pretty nice stuff there. Hope it'll be available soon

6.0 W/mK is better than some of the cheaper stuff on ebay but not Fujipoly Extreme good.

If the price is right it will be a viable alternative.

nice, although now we just use some thermal pads, just for memory chip, laptop

Not sure about the relevance of "you can cut to shape." I have always bought large pads and cut them to fit my needs...

I HAVE WAITED FOR OVER 10 YEARS FOR THIS TO HAPPEN

Meh, be more interested in them not cheeping out on gpu coolers with their perma ram\vrm heat sinks, then i might actually have a use for them haha.

I was thinking I need some pads the other day now these appear.

I fixed an eeepc with some thermal pads from an old gpu cooler I had laying around.

Careful they might try to patent that too...Keep your pads!

Usually they are attached only with the pressure of the heatsink on them.

Not to keep the ball rolling but I have been using this stuff for a few years now with great success. http://www.aitechnology.com/store/ the cool-silver comes in a 3 pack. still a little pricey but it works great.

EK has been selling 75x50mm sheets, that is double the size, for $3.50 for quite some time now...

The increase in thermal conductivity may explain the difference in price, 6.0 w/mK for the ARCTIC and 3.0-5.0 W/mK for the EK.

Oh, the joys of Amazon. it's $7.99 now.

excuse my ignorance, do they have glue or adhesive somewhere o some side??

they are $8.99 on amazon at the moment.

This link is for the 50x50x1 mm pad. TWICE the material for a measly dollar more! All you need to do is split it perfectly down the middle. :P

I could've sworn that was $4.99+shipping when I wrote the post.

Even the PR said $4.99.

Just to verify what I think, are these indeed sticky type and no glue is needed?

Also check out that 100 watt load test graph. It claims this pad outperforms even Prolimatech PK-1 thermal PASTE by 18 degrees! Must eb something very wrong with the graph as clearly that kind of result is too good to be true. What is going on there?

They are still listed as $5.99 on Arctic's site but, they are out of stock!

Supply and Demand, meet Money...

This graph?

84.9-66.8, 18 degrees? Does somebody need a refresher course?
It is Clearly, CLEARLY, 18.1 Degrees!!

And why can't something be better than Prolimatech?

Rock on Arctic!!

And when someone comes out with an even better Thermal Pad, Rock on them, too!

:toast::lovetpu:

I have been testing CPU coolers and thermal pastes for the last 5 years or more. Differences have always been in the range of few degrees at best and even liquid metal is not more than few degrees better than good thermal paste.

So no, I do not believe such results until I see some pretty darn good explanations.
